Marks only increasing by 2.6x When they are 6x less effective

To the player base is this not an outrage? Before the change I had 630 marks which could do 28 games, Once they actually make the change they were supposed to by now i will be at 1640 (ish) this only gives me 18 games, a whole 10 games less. If you had spent real money on marks, you would lose about 40% of your money instantly.

To be clear I'm ok with the changes but the marks you had bought/earned before the change should have a 1:1 value in the new system, this literally destroys trust in kabam

You've missed the entire point of my post. The marks I had before the change could do 28 matches, after the change they can do 18. This is kabam just taking from their player base. They could have easily made our marks 1:1 with new marks, and all future marks earned would be less effective than the s1 marks.

I get that logically it makes sense for it to be a 1:1 thing, but Kabam also could’ve done nothing and left you with what you had. Instead Kabam gave you enough elders marks to prevent your original 28 matches from becoming a value of 7. They more than doubled you to 18 matches for free.
Season 1 - 28 = 28 matches worth of points
Season 2 - 18 = 108 matches worth of points
They literally gave you the equivalent of 66 energy matches for free.

To make the gladiator's circuit with a perfect record takes something like 42 matches.

It now costs way more in marks to make it there.

The big difference that hasn’t been accounted for in this thread is that Elder’s Marks are no longer the exclusive source of solo/alliance event progress. Your energy matches will also contribute, although at a much slower rate.

This means that the conversion wouldn’t make sense as a 1:1, because Elder’s Marks used to be infinitely more valuable than energy, and now they provide a finite value more. So the conversion is actually:

Old Value of EM’s = New Value - Energy Value

Energy Value is exceedingly difficult to calculate because it is practically limitless. It’s not unusual for me to have somewhere between 15-25 energy refills in my overflow at any given time (I’m a bit bare right now due to 8.1 exploration). I know this is all a bit wishy-washy and vague, but I’m very bad at math and so I’m not going to try to fill in those variables. Hopefully a more competent mathematician can swoop in and finish this out for me (and correct my errors).

KT1 had a good point about how Players will view Elder's Mark. Unit wise - there is no difference between Elder's Mark an Energy moving forward when it comes to the Solo and Alliance Event. It's now just a decision of how you would like to interact with the game mode.

Elder's Mark grant you 6 times as many points or 1/6 of the games required to reach certain milestones.
Energy offers you 1/6 the points as Elder's Marks or 6 times as many games.

Some people will like the first option and others will prefer the second option. It's hard to compare the value of Elder's Mark to the First Season to the Second Season as so many components have changed.

When it comes to buying them with units and whether the they are "worth" less units now and someone should be compensated, you get more points this season than you did last season per match. Let's do math with the Solo Event.
1 Win used to be 2050 | 1 Win is now 4500 | 4500/2050=~2.2, this is the point multiplier for this season
so if you take your original Elder's Mark and multiple by both the 2.2 and the 2.6 you get 5.7
take 5.7 and divide by 6 = 0.95

The Elder's Mark carrying over from Season 1 has 95% of the purchasing power that in Season 2 when compared to Season 1. Still a loss but not as egregious as you calculated (not taking into consideration what having Energy count does to it but that was generally something the community is viewing as a positive)
