Battlegrounds Matching 2x in a row with same person

This has happened to me on 2 different occasions now: I match up against the same exact summoner 2 times in a row. Isn’t this supposed to not happen? Or is this normal? Seems like it shouldn’t be happening.

    My son matched with a very well-known summoner twice in a row. For a guy with a huuugggge account, a full deck of 4* was surprising.

    The boy won both matches so now he thinks he is awesome hahaha, never mind the fact that old mate quit out on the second match.

    Me, I'm guessing it's just a reward farm for the famous guy.
