The Right side (biggest hit ) # is indeed the max for the storage variable used for that one.
But that left side # must be a different storage type (variable type in programming terms, but didn’t want to say “variable” because then others would say “what, it can vary ?”, lol) as that # has had various (see, the semantics) even larger amounts displayed there (and not always the same # from case to case)
I think the working theory, at least, is that the insta-kill is coded as ‘do the maximum amount of damage the game engine will let us apply’ which should result in an instant ko regardless of health pool. Not sure if Abyss/Labyrinth damage caps apply though
