Funny that prestige matters more than skill

I've been the underdog pretty much my whole mcoc life, but my skill earned me spots in high tier alliances with my lower prestige. I have a skilled friend not in an alliance for prestige reasons. Just spoke to someone insisting on 15k prestige, and dismissing without talk of skill. Is a bigger account with lower skill more important? A 15k+ player with average skill can get in to many alliances easy purely off roster, but a skilled 14.5k player still has to prove something. Even after asking for a chance until cyber weekend or latest Eop to get prestige to 15k+

The alliance's prestige directly impacts the strength of the opponents in aq, which then increases the amount of points available. No one thinks prestige is an accurate predictor of ability, but if this alliance were to decrease their average prestige by allowing your friend in, they may drop a bracket in the aq rewards.

It isn't really tough to get 15k prestige anymore really. 3 maxed r4s gives you that..

I agree basing whether u let someone in alliance purely on prestige is stupid. I also would let a skilled player join my alliance regardless of prestige as long as they can handle the map is all I care about my line id is thetruesanz99 a

You're missing the point, everyone knows that prestige impacts Aq points, difficulty etc. It was temporary, until next week or so when the Aq changes roll out and in the meantime cyber weekend or Eop can be used to boost prestige. It also happens that high prestige accounts can balance out the lower prestige accounts.

For those that disagreed with my post, the recruiter said he would have let in the 14.5k account if he knew the person, which was a biased decision. It also shows that the prestige isn't always as vital as many make it out to be, especially if it's only temporary for one or so weeks, in addition to getting a skilled, reliable player.

I don't understand why those that reacted 'lol' to my post find someone else's pain funny. That's just cruel, grow up.

As long as someone can clear the path, why should anything other than prestige matter!

Say what you want but at the end of the day, Size does matter more than how you use it........... Get your head straight I'm talking about your hands..... How you use your hands to play........the game.

Okay. I clear rank 4s on my path, play up to tier 1/2-Plat 1 close to Masters. I one shot rank 4 minis and bosses so good for you and your big account, I'll wreck it all day.
