While Psycho man is in doubt mode, the enemy's controls are reversed
And something for offense too but I won't write that here

a defense synergy would only work in arena and no where else.

Mantis was trained by the Priests of Pama to become a grand mistress of the martial arts, demonstrated as capable of defeating opponents as skilled as Captain America. Not every character has to be a Mirror version of the MCU.

Not every character has to be a Mirror version of the MCU.

Even the MCU version of mantis recently showed that she's no slouch when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Essentially it's like Korg, we're not talking about the physiology but their primary offensive abilities.
