War rating decreased after off season loss

Unless I missed an announcement, I thought off season wars were not supposed to affect war rating. After the most recent war, our rating dropped 23 points instead of remaining unchanged. Is this supposed to happen and has anyone else had this happen?

    Only locks in if you're in tier 5 or above.

    If you're on the cusp in tier 5 you can get matched vs a tier 6 allaince and you will still get affected.

    That must be it. We were tier 5 now we’re tier 6. Thanks for the info.
