Been playing a few rounds of the good ol Battlegrounds today and been struggling slightly. I'm currently in Plat III and the past few matches have seen me facing off against players like the ones in the screenshots. Obviously they aren't cheaters at all, it just seems weird that I'm being paired up with them since I have a base hero rating of about 1.5mil and prestige of 11,135.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing where you're pitted against almost impossible matches (almost always when you're about to move to the next tier)?

    Same for me, I have a 3 r4’s a few r3’s and the rest r2 in my deck. I get matched with people who have 10+ r4’s and the rest r3’s…impossible to win

    Yeah the match making doesn’t seem to care about prestige because I have 3 R3 6 stars and the rest are r2 or 5 star champs. And I’ll frequently face people like you’ve shown. Just gotta make smart bans and picks, then hope for the best. I would be okay with slightly longer matchmaking if it matched me with people closer to my lvl

    I face equal or much better accounts.....but not worse. I am not very good, so putting 3 back to back gets frustrating when you have 50% or 0% chance and not the 100% to balance it out.

    Nice. With my zero rank 3’s, I’ve been paired against people with 10+ rank 4’s. It’s so dumb

    Was that in Victory Track or at Gladiator Circuit?
    Because if it is at Gladiator Circuit it is normal to happen, since matchmaking is based on your bgs rating only.

    I've asked this question more times than I can count, but for those who are expecting "fair" matches of similar roster strength on your fights in BG, what has given you this expectation? There are competitive rank rewards that all players compete for.

    Additionally, maybe I've missed something, but I've never ever seen anything from Kabam stating anything that matches should be "fair" based in players on fighting similar strength rosters. Assuming I'm correct and Kabam has never said anything like this, why do people keep posting over and over and over expecting something that has never even been implied?

    I’m willing to wager if you combed through your BG wins, you’d find some 7-8k prestige accounts you beat.

    It goes both ways.
