@Ghost_Fan its you whose argument is childish. you decided for yourself that playing a game is no real experience.
if you dont think personally then dont enjoy it
but some people do and they will enjoy the experience as they want to.

if people didn't enjoy the experience they wouldn't be playing the game
even you are wasting your time even if you are playing FTP and not enjoying the experience
we all like playing the game facing the challenges it sets or collecting the roster and various other things that different people do. Nobody is limited to your view on what a gaming experience should be like.

If I had loads of money that this much could be a drop in the bucket I would download games play them off once spend here and there and not care about them again because its like dropping some coins for me.

    .

So you are comparing travel experience with playing a game?
If that's so, then I have nothing else to add.

and not every person who buys pokemon cards or the cars for high amount of cash is gonna buy or sell it later as an investment. some people hjust buy them because they wanna collect it. now what does someone get out of collecting cards or cars who wont drive it or may not play with it well they get the satisfaction out it.
some people instead will drive it and play with that stuff and be dont with it. everyone does whatever they want.

But he could definitely sell all of these in the future if you wants to and probably earn something. The thing is, Pokémon cards or cars will always be there for you. They won't disappear one day in the middle of the night. This game won't. We don't know how much time this game has, it might be 2 more years, it could be 10.

People go into expensive restaurants and buy expensive meals.. why? ever wondered why? i mean why not just go to a road side shop? you know whats the asnwer? the experience is different.
Some enjoy the expensive meal some enjoy the roadside meal

I don't know, maybe the taste is better? Maybe the ingredients are far-far-far superior?
Don't tell me you just compared McDonalds with a 5 star restaurant.

Same way just because you dont own the game doesnt mean you cant enjoy the experience and enjoy it enough to spend on it. You are basically attacking every single person who has ever spent a single dime on the game saying "why spend on pixels when you cant eat pixels?"

Who spends how much on what is their decision.

That gave me a good laugh. People that spend in this game, prolong it's lifespan. And that's a good thing for everyone that isn't willing to pay a single dime. I don't know where you saw me attacking people that have spent money here. Show me the quote please, now I'm intrigued.

It's worrying when large amount of money is spent on any game, no matter the game. This game is like having a casino in your pocket. Game rewards full of RNG (well most of them) and you keep spending and spending until you hit the jackpot (which could be numerous things, acquiring new champs, taking them to sig 200 etc). In casino you earn a small fraction of that money back. Here you won't get anything back. In a few years all these money will go down the drain, that's unavoidable.
Spending for fun or as a way of entertainment I get it. Like going in a movie theater and not renting the movie, cause you are looking for the experience. But you should always know where to stop cause else it won't end up well for you.

Apparently you don’t get it at all. That’s probably because you value things differently than others and your idea of what an experience is or isn’t is different. It doesn’t make you right or wrong. What makes you wrong is when you attempt to apply your beliefs and values to someone else’s situations.

Where exactly I tried this? This wasn't my purpose at all and I really doubt that I actually said it like this (or something similar).

Hey, why don't you guys agree to disagree? Stop looking for looking who did %&/(/&%$, many submitted their opinion , whats everyone is allowed to do where I live, others had a different one, fine as well, but forcing others to drop their opinion wasn't ok, no matter who it was! What about ending this right here, and lets talk about the guys 54.174.150 points event score, proff hoff just showed in his video :D

For me 100$ is very valuable but that doesn't mean same is with other people. They may struggle to get 10 or spend 1000 per hour like crazy
It's just each one of us have own principles and morals regarding such matters.
Except friends and family i don't think so we can judge or try to make others follow our steps or morals. It's their money, they have every right to burn it or save it.
Yes we can help people by such amount. Then again it comes to personal morals and principles. Who knows people who spend so much in game night be doing charity in secret. So enjoy game while it lasts

I see a lot of pointless discussions here, yet no one focus on what i wonder..

How did he get that purple Mythic title? Ive never seen that until now

I see lots of arguments over how he spends money. I more question how legit this is? Some body spending thousands, tens hundreds of thousands. Well people are you know, but 10 accounts with the smallest having a 4 mill rating? No one has that much time in a day. Something smells here.

it's none of anyone's business what he does with his money. the lesson out of this is that very, very few people can spend this type of money and sustain their daily life as well as keep a safety and savings account. don't see other people's spending and think you can do the same

We should be happy that he spends that much. After all it’s a game and a game needs revenue. Thanks Magus !

Yes..every game out there...be any MMORPG or candy crush...there will b spenders and there will be whales..and these ppl keeps the game relevant..for those moaners and complainers...just b thankful we have someone who not just replaced cowhale..finds this game worth every cent he blows on it..

now is up to kabam to design relevant content to match these players' expectations and roster....
  • Artoria77Artoria77 Member Posts: 2,550 ★★★★★
Lol we should be happy that whales are spending money like this. It’s what keepers the game alive.

Smart...Thats exactly what I didn't want to do, as long as it's more a tutorial and even offering links to the necessary tools. Spreading the info to more people than to Kabam itself won't help in my opinion, it only provides potential to make the situation worse by increasing the modding community @AtzeKrank ;) I ve sent it to Kabam instead ;)

Do i care about it? No. Looks like you're running a successfully Ostrich-Effect game in your life. Keep going instead of pointing out really heavy issues.
If kabam would really care about it, they could fix it. If this is related to some weird coding and cant be hidden behind fake names/containers then its really sad and just deserved.

I still believe it isn't healthy no matter to what you compare them to. It could be seen as a worse 'investment' than NFTs. Actually it is a worse 'investment'.

I once spent $5000 on a pair of first class plane tickets for me and my wife. That's $2500 each for a nine hour experience that has no resale value and no replay value. In real terms even if Magus has spent two million dollars on his account total, he's probably spending less money per hour of game play than I did per hour of flight time on those tickets.

Most people who can spend thousands of dollars on discretionary spending do not spend it on "investments." They don't expect their money back. They spend it on what they want and what they get for their money is what they want.

I am not a billionaire, nor am I a super whale in this or any other game. But I do know when I spend thousands of dollars on a discretionary expense, I'm generally not thinking about my return on investment. I'm thinking about my return on expense and that return is almost never material.

@AtzeKrank Impressing priorities and ... "Ostrich-Effect", really sure you got the meaning right?
    - you care about what some are thinking about a guy somewhere on this planet...
    - you don't care if you might become part of the hacking problem, by helping to broadcast knowledge , only useful to effect mcoc in a negative maybe even distructive way. Thanks for confirming my expectations ... I'm done here

I see there's a lot of pocket watchers in this community, i mean why worry about what others decide to spend their money on its their entertainment, i know people who spend thousands of dollars on strippers in a strip club or even a woman online that they never meet in person, its their money to spend how ever they please and long as its not your money they're spending why care.

Nobody has said that there aren’t better places for this money to be spent on. Personally if I had £135k spare to blow I’d probably be travelling the world with my other half. I’m going to assume I’d be mortgage free by this point if I’ve got that lying around in my bank.

Have you not considered that he doesn’t need to buy a classic car, or buy a new Ferrari in the hopes that it somehow becomes a classic, or a watch he’s never going to wear? He’s got the resources to do literally anything he wants, he probably has most of the things you state and likely travelled to where he wants and experienced what he wants as well.

If he has the spare cash to fund this game, more power to him.

You need to recognise that not everyone has the same objectives or are in the same point in their lives, if he deigns to read this thread it’ll probably just provide comedic value to his evening.

    Well said @Mauled
