So currently Warlock is my most ranked up 6* Tech. He’s not awakened. I have a duped Nebula but everyone else is basic.

Nimrod is one of my draws, and everyone says he’s a mutant killer - but I’ve yet to really grasp or appreciate him. It seems like a lot of his utility is locked behind being awakened. There’s no one else even on my tech roster worth mentioning other than Stark Spidey. So if I hold it, I’d be waiting for another champion.

So, so I do it? Is it Nimrod?

    He’s amazing awakened and high sig. I bring him as a max 5* over 6r4 champions if there is a mutant (except bishop) on one of paths I’m taking. He’s that good. I awakened and max sig him last time the gauntlet came out per bittersteel’s suggestion and haven’t regretted it at all.

    I don’t even have him as a 5* haha. So I’m grateful I have him as a 6 - but still - I’ll only be able to throw a few stones in him at this point. Is that alright?

    Yes
    I had him at sig 20 for ages and it’s more than enough to get him going. Even sig 1 will make a difference as he gets his ramp up against mutants just by being awakened

    This is good advice - I got him and awakened his 6 a few months ago and I can't believe how dominant he is. He's a category killer.

    Absolutely worth ranking up an awakened 5.

    Yep, even at sig 1 he becomes so much better against mutants.

    I have Nimrod at R4 unawakened. I haven't meaningfully felt like I am missing out on things from his awakened ability. Sure ramp up takes 'longer', but I don't feel like it is long at all.

    Personally for me, I am very hesitant to use awakening gems just for Sig abilities that increase damage. Unblockable specials in Eradicate is nice, but that would pretty much only be needed against autoblock champions and the Mutants you would bring Nimrod up against don't autoblock.

    True. Tech class in general doesn't really have any sig abilities that changes the champion.

    Ghost is probably the only other tech champ debatably more deserving of the gem.

    And I’ve got her as a duped 5* max. Even tho I don’t know how to use her that well. So yeah, I definitely used it on nimrod already haha.

    The good thing about Nimrod is that he doesn't need high sig. Even at sig 20, it performs much better than unawakened.

    I would say either Nimrod at sig 1
    Or wait for infamous iron man or Ultron.
    But both Ultron and infamous iron man both needs high sig
    Upto you.
