First up, a disclaimer: I admit I have no skills in this game. 🤣
I used to do the side quests on easy, normal, master and some of uncollected - but now it looks like I can barely finish the 3rd side quest (master/conqueror). So this will mean I’ll spend less time on the game (probably like many other people).
I just miraculously became cavalier, but the side quest Absorbing Man fight is harder than some of the fights I just did - and I spent more units against him than I did on those fights.
Also it’s pretty odd that these 4-star opponents are so powerful. Their hero rating is in double figures? My highest 4-star’s hero rating is 6000.
5 6* R3 knocked out on uncollected, yeah "slightly " tuned lol 😂 Ok, I'm not a guy that analysing nodes for half an hour before hit f..ing uncollected difficulty. I'm done this month with EQ.
I totally agree that they overtuned it but I think you should be able to do it with that roster, I beat him with my 5
OK. I went into Uncollected EQ, Chapter 1. Here’s the team I took:
Keep in mind, this is the Science Ascendancy quest — I am not getting the Attack boost. This is just me, just playing.
Rhino lane, 5/50 Professor X, so I can get the Mutant/X-Men Special Attack boost:
I lost Iceman to the Tigra, because of a dropped input. Just the truth. But it actually worked out OK because I could vulture another Persistent Charge for Professor X.
Next up: Drax. Took him solo with Professor X, picking up another Persistent Charge, but I forgot the photo.
Next up: Doctor Octopus, with, as you can see, a 3/30 Magneto:
Seriously: What are we even talking about, here?
Yes, it is more challenging. It is. About 80K-110K health pools.
But you can literally clear it with 4-stars! I didn’t even have the Science Ascendancy attack boost going — I shudder to think what a Scorpion or IHulk or IBom would do with a 30 PERCENT ATTACK BOOST.
Come on, people — I am not even a very good player. I have some skill and experience, but there are absolutely a ton of players who are better than me.
What are we even talking about, here?
You lost 60% health on a single fight against a Rhino and 20% on another one with Magneto against Doc Oc (#metal btw). Why don't you go fight the 25k Knull and 25k Sinister on UC 3.2 and see if you manage to even do those fights in one go each. More importantly, you think you're gonna take out a Zemo with a 200k health pool who crits through blocks, roots you just for hitting him and has protection with those champs and with that amount of health left? Don't even get me started on Absorbing Man's 210k health pool cause there ain't no way you're gonna outdamage his regen with those champs. You're right, what are we even talking about lmao you're delusional.
So, i just want to try to understand this. Me beating the Doctor Octopus with a 3/30 Magneto doesn’t count?
Are you saying that UC cannot be cleared with 4-stars? No boosts. That’s totally fine. I certainly wouldn’t burn my Revive stash on this.
But I am just trying to make sure I understand what it is that you’re saying — you’re making the point that the five characters I grabbed couldn’t clear UC? Because that isn’t what I said.
Are you saying that 4-stars cannot clear UC? Because that is what I said, and I would either be right or wrong about that, but you saying “those champs” when I clearly wasn’t saying that I would use those five characters is disingenuous
Nope, what this means is that if you're losing 60% health per fight on the first quest from the EQ how exactly are you planning on clearing the rest of the path and the boss with no revives. Or even better, how are you planning on clearing the last chapter that has 23k-26k PI champs if you couldn't even beat a 13k one without losing any health? It's so easy according to you right? Lmao
Yes, UC can't be cleared without revives and boosts, the last two chapters at least. First can be done if you're good but last two are absolutely impossible because of the nodes and the health pools.
What you said? You literally said on that post that you can clear out the content with 4* even though the health pools are big, and before you pull the "I was being sarcastic" card you also told somebody else on this same thread to stop acting like the content can't be cleared with a developing roster. Furthermore, you sided with GroundedWisdom over here, someone who thinks the changes are fair and people need to "grow into them".
Let’s find out, then — I am not the best player in the game. I wasn’t being sarcastic.
Here’s the bet: Nothing but 4-stars.
Parameters:
What I can do: I can use any 4-star. I can use health potions.
What I can’t do: I cannot use revives. I cannot use boosts.
The stakes: For you: Absolutely nothing. It will cost you nothing, if I can or can’t do it.
For me: If I can do it? I get nothing. Nothing at all.
If I can’t do it? I will close my Forum account. Won’t post here again.
So now, we’ll see — and please don’t come on here if I do it and say “how do I know you did,” because again: It’s costing you NOTHING. I don’t cheat. I am a solo player. I have never said that I am an elite player.
Either I can do it, or I can’t.
So we’ll see.
You had me until you said "I can use health potions". You lost 60% health against a 13k Rhino guy how many health potions you gonna use per path 5? If you do the math that's more than 100 health potions to 100% the entire EQ. Using a ton of health potions to clear content is not viable nor is it worth it considering health potions aren't exactly cheap (garbage ones that give 10% or 20% health are for obvious reasons useless). Not to mention, you obviously have a well developed roster and will probably have counters for a couple hard fights, someone who just hit UC will not, so whether you can 100% the EQ or not doesn't matter because the newer players still won't be able to pull it off which is the entire problem with EQ right now.
The stakes: maybe you'll shut up and stop trying to argue against something that even Kabam Jax already acknowledged.
You may not be a cheater but you certainly are a liar, or at the very least someone who back tracks a lot. So, if you "do it" (without using a gazillion health potions), I'm still not gonna believe it lol and I doubt anyone on these forums will.
If it can’t be done like you said, then what are you worried about?
It costs you nothing, either way
It can be done with the right counters and taking the easiest paths. However, a player who doesn't have a developed roster will still not be able to do it because they won't have good counters, which is the entire problem here, you're so dense.
So when people said “you can grow into the content,” what was incorrect about that?
That’s literally how some of us had to learn how to play the game — nobody gave some of us 4-stars, let alone 5-stars and 6-stars. There was no Autofight.
All I said was that UC could be cleared with 4-stars — which maybe I am wrong! You said it couldn’t be done! — but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s no law that anyone has to 100 percent every single piece of content every single minute of every single month.
That the gap between a maxed out 4* and a maxed out 5* is huge you donut, and if they can't complete the EQ that "growing" is gonna be even slower.
Right, cause back then there weren't 6 champ rarities, there were only 5 so they have to allow lower players to progress quicker. Increasing the difficulty by 10 is how you don't do that. I don't think you understand how online video games that constantly receive updates work, and it's concerning.
Maybe not you, but UC players who are trying to get shards and materials (and obviously enjoy the game) have to be able to clear the EQ without having to spend 500 units on potions. You're so dense dude.
You complain that it's not possible to do uncollected without health pots but having completed thronebreaker with only using 5 revives and around 20 health pots I would suggest you look at better rounding out your attack champs. Yes the health and attack pools are overturned but this sounds more like a poor me thread. Thronebreaker takes an average of 250-300 hits to drop an opponent. The nodes are much more punishing. The champ restrictions are much more limiting. You can easily die from chip damage and 1-2 combos from lag or dropped inputs. Its the equivalent of using 2 and 3*s in uncollected. Kabam Jax has already stated he is taking the tuning back to the game team. Use this eq as an opportunity to better your skills or learn new counters to opponents. Also another tip from a long term player energy is cheaper than pots and revives. Try different teams rather than just potting up and pushing through. Beyond that ignore this month's eq and focus on existing content to better your accounts champ options.
It's not that it's not possible in general, you can do it without potions or revives with a full team of maxed out 5* and the right counters. It's the fact that most players achieve UC with 4* and you can't 100% EQ with maxed out 4* unless you spend 500 units on health potions and revives which is ridiculous.
There's no poor me threads here, Kabam Jax already said the difficulties were indeed overtuned, why are you big brains still trying to argue against that? Lol.
Are you even reading what you're typing? You're talking as if every UC player had a developed roster with a ton of counters like you. Your entire argument of UsE BeTtEr AtTacK cHaMpS is a very selfish argument, get well soon.
Do you even read the posts yourself? Thronebreaker difficulty was much more punishing than uncollected. People doing this aren't using maxed out rank 4 or 5 6*s. Most are doing it with 5*s rank 4/5 or 6*s rank 2/3 if lucky and these aren't maxed sig champs. You say it can't be done without spending units. It can if you stop crying and look to counters outside of the God tier champs you probably have ranked. By your logic master will require maxed out 6*s and cavalier/Thronebreaker will just be impossible without massive spending. Yes I admit the difficulty increase sucks d****. All I'm saying is stop crying about it and try thinking outside the box. Look at 3/4* counters and try intercept/evade over blocking every opponent. Ask for some help with counters rather than crying it can't be done. Outside of that just skip it and work on Content more in line with your skill.
I've read virtually every post on this thread and to a person almost all have maintained decorum and etiquette whilst airing their views. I haven't seen anyone "crying" as you mockingly label it, but rather players are voicing their legitimate concerns and grievances - a stated purpose of this forum.
Conversely, a minority of insufferable acolytes, career apologists and habitual contrarians have made repeated attempts to downplay the complaints and derail the thread by introducing non sequiturs, red herrings and strawmen into the conversation.
There's an issue with this month's EQ and SQ; it's been acknowledged by Jax. There really is nothing more to say until we receive a response from one of the administrators..
Another example of Kabam missing the messaging. “We want to close the gap between difficulty levels, so let’s ratchet up the difficulty to everything EXCEPT the top level. Let’s deny tier 2 and 3 players a chance to grow their teams by making the Master and Uncollected levels double the difficulty. Let’s also not mess with rewards and see how that flies with the little people. But we’ll scale back the Cavalier level a little and see if they can make the jump to TB. Then maybe they’ll spend a little money.”
5 6* R3 knocked out on uncollected, yeah "slightly " tuned lol 😂 Ok, I'm not a guy that analysing nodes for half an hour before hit f..ing uncollected difficulty. I'm done this month with EQ.

What does TB have to do with any of my comments? I'm solely talking about UC. How low does one's intelligence have to be to start an argument with someone about something they weren't even talking about lmao.
If you think the average UC player can 100% UC EQ with 100k-210k health pools, with 4* and without using a ton of revives you are absolutely delusional. No wonder you're getting ratioed left and right.
Speaking as a Conqueror, I used to play Normal for the Insider points and to be able to have some fun using my 2* roster and particularly newer champs I got from Insider at that level. I've had to use my 4*s to get through the Contender level after my 3*s were getting wrecked too much. I can see I'm going to have to use my 5*s for Proven. Normally, I'd use them for the last chapter on Heroic to be sure I didn't get wrecked or on Master when I'd sometimes try the first chapter on that. No WAY am I going to try Conqueror level. Doing the lowest level side quest was all I usually bothered with, this month I could barely manage it with r3 5*s. This is not remotely incentivising me to try to get to Uncollected. I'm more feeling that if this BS isn't sorted out next month at least, I'm quitting after 7 years. I play the game for fun, not a slog. This is turning into a slog.
(yes, I know, git gud and wtf, 7 years and you're only Conqueror? Well, I spent that time slowly building my roster and doing content other than story mode.)
I am trying to wrap my mind around this: We are currently collecting 7-star shards, R5 6-stars are now a thing, Kabam has made it so you can become Cavalier in about, what…three months? Maybe four? With a brand new account, if you are focused? And Paragon has been around for a year or more? People are Autofighting lower-tier content, because even brand-new accounts can get a 5-star or two in a few weeks?
And people are losing their minds because Kabam is actually making it so you actually have to play the game by increasing the difficulty arc because Cavalier difficulty wasn’t exactly designed for R4 6-star Hercules?
I mean, yeah, OK, it’s more challenging than it was….but nobody could have possibly thought where it was was good for the game itself
nah fr idek why lower level players are complaining they have crazy rosters with r3s it should be cake even with the difficulty increase.
I haven't touched the MEQ yet, I did one route on the side quest on Threat level 1, using my 5* r3 mystics and they were getting wrecked by the 3*s. I was playing manually, not auto and I ended up using a shed load of health pots and several times two fights to win. That ain't right. I'd normally get through the lowest side quest without much trouble at the lowest SQ difficulty, this was like doing Master.
max 4*s and r3s 5* but cant clear through 5k pi champs and 1 herc that's 9k? Idk man...

You realize some champs require specific counters which even after the banquet not everyone has right? Lmao like this guy really said you have a 6* Hulkling at r1 go take out that 42k Absorbing Man even though you can't shut down his regen or outdamage it.

I said it could be cleared with 4-stars. Period. I never said “explored.” I never said “timeless.”
I literally said I wouldn’t use Boosts or Revives.
There’s nothing I said to backtrack. You came in here and said the Baron Zemo and Absorbing Man couldn’t be done, so what are you whining about?
Absorbing man literally can't be done without specific counters that not everyone has, max rank 4 stars (still stupid tedious and not worth it for the average player) or 5+ stars. You absolute troglodyte endgame players seem to just forget that it takes a **** ton of time to build up a proper roster, and building your roster is literally 99% rng until you get uncollected and unlock better arenas
The Auto Play feature has never been intended to be a substitute for playing the game. There's a reason the AI is skilled in a mediocre way. Originally it was added for small, tedious tasks like Dailies, before Auto Complete was even an option.
The Auto Play feature is literally a substitute for playing the game.
There is always a threshold at which a roster may not have sufficient strength to clear content on Auto Play. But there really isn’t any way to argue that Auto Play is anything other than a substitute for actually playing.
The suspicion from me is this. That this was intended and NOT a mistake. Kabam is in it to make money (they are a business after all) and FTP players don’t help them.
This was my immediate thought concerning the change but I didn't want to say it out loud.

Apparently you seem to be reading that too literally. It's never been intended as a substitute for skill development and growth.
The increased difficulty is incredibly ridiculios. Iam strongly considering quitting the game. It used to be a game that had something for every level of player. And one that you can casually play and still slowly grow. I am only cav. And can barely do the level 3 eq . Its insane that the difficulty is ramped up that much at such a low level. Stop focusing everything strictly on paragon players or you are going to lose the lower 70% that arent there yet.

Of course it’s a substitute or it wouldn’t exist. The whole point of auto fight is to auto fight and not actively fight. There isn’t anyway to to read it other than literally. No one has argued it’s a substitute for skill development. But it seems like you are saying that Paragon and Thronebreakers don’t already have the requisite skill level and roster growth to be afforded to auto fight Conquerer and most of uncollected like we have since auto fight came into the game. It was added as a Quality of Life mechanic. No one is suggesting we should be able to auto fight Cav and Thronebreaker MEQ difficulty, but surely we can all agree a roster of 5x 6R4 should be able get auto fight through Conquerer and most of uncollected. You can’t be suggesting that we don’t already have the skill set to manually fight at Conquerer level with our 6R3 and 6R4 rosters?

That's not what I'm saying at all. We've already established that it's been overshot. My issue is with the idea that people farming some Units on Auto is a high priority. That's pretty much a secondary issue. The more pressing issue is whether it's appropriate for people at that stage.

People being able to complete content using auto fight that is relative to their current progression is a priority. I’m not talking about conquerer auto fighting conquerer content here, again we’re talking people with highly ranked 6* rosters that have completed almost every area of the game. It’s a priority because it changes the bar for what lower level players can do. If you make the game to difficult for roster to auto fight it’s going to be to difficult for those who are actually at that level. I don’t understand the argument that the difficulties been set too high, but we still shouldn’t be able to auto fight through it.
If kabams reasoning for changing the difficulty was to stop auto fighting for people to farm units, I’d personally rather they put the difficulty back to what it was so it’s fair for lower level players and then just disable auto fight altogether. Then we can get into a discussion with Kabam about auto fight as a QOL mechanic as a singular issue and we can see how that one goes. You can’t separate auto fighting with farming for resources.

This on the other hand, is more than what I meant. I never implied they changed it to prohibit people from doing it. If I'm being totally frank, I'm speaking to the expectation that "I ALWAYS AUTO PLAY IT AND I SHOULD BE ABLE TO.". That's not necessarily the most important thing to look at. Take what you want from that, but that's a bit entitled. We don't NEED to do every Difficulty. There are a number for a reason. Including some that are more appropriate to our own level of progression. That's about it.

I typically 100% Cav difficulty (this will now be TB) and do an initial clear of all the other difficulties. I can auto fight all the other difficulties including uncollected with the exception of maybe a few bosses if there nodes are a little too quirky.
I don’t think its entitled to think the difficulty in MEQ should match the corresponding act difficulty, that Conquerer should be act 4 difficulty. I don’t think it’s entitled to think that my roster should be able to auto fight this content as it always has. Mostly because knowing I can auto fight makes it fair for those at the level and allows for them progress in the game. For me that’s the bigger concern, it’s not difficult for me to do that level of content, it’s brain dead though. But I don’t think you can separate the 2 points, if it’s to difficult to auto-fight (for highly ranked rosters) it’s to difficult for the players who are at that actual level.
In 8 years this is one of the worst changes that Kabaam has made. First they screwed up Arenas, then AQ, then BGs, and now EQ. Each attempt to make the game better has masked an underlying focus on earning revenue; however, as people become increasing familiar with the business model - they in-turn make the content harder to ensure that spenders continue spending. This has stopped being a game that people enjoy playing, this company is relying on the digital dependency, much like a drug dependency, to drive revenue. Furthermore, by creating an environment where the spenders, no longer whales now that everyone has to spend money to move forward, thrive - they, in turn, now rely on the spenders to crush any feedback from FTP users. Congrats Kabaam, you've figured out how to financially screw your customer base while turning half of the customer base against each other. Not only have you managed to obfuscate this horrible business model, but you've turned half the fan base in to blind supported who freely attack anyone with a dissenting opinion. Well played Kabaam, well played. Sad to think that this is where 8 years of loyalty ended up.
I can’t really speak for the EQ difficulty increase I haven’t got round to uc yet I’ve done 100% tb and one pass through cav difficulty (I wouldn’t say tb is a problem seems fine as is and cav seems easier my personal opinion) However if the increase to EQ UC difficulty is anything like the increase to the SQ difficulty then that’s ABSOLUTELY RIDICULES. It’s completely pushed new players out let’s compare SQ threat level one boss to act 5.1.1 boss
They’re almost identical in attack and health how can kabam justify this? I’m not angry/complaining for me (in free time when bored on the main I do some pretty stupid/time wasting stuff in game Example; I see players trying to justify it by saying “well I can do it using low champs so they should too” That’s not how it works! They don’t have the experience, the masteries, the champions and the resources you do (an experienced player almost always has health pots and revives expiring) newer players don’t have that luxury. This is a ridiculous change that wasn’t needed and needs to be corrected asap if I was a newer player facing this I’d knock the game on the head and move on.
The difficulty increase is absurd. I realize the people at the top are whining about wanting a challenge, but this is too much for the vast majority of the player base. It’s isn’t impossible, you can plan out the modes, bring counters, play well, get lucky. But what it is, even when done correctly, is maddeningly dull and grinding. Hundreds of hits and 7 minute fights. It loses sight of the first point of a game. It isn’t fun.
The short answer is yes, Kabam only cares about the whales in this game. They spend money!! Not only did they make it harder in quests but they also put a stupid defense in battlegrounds that rendered the champs we did take the time to rank up USELESS unless they’re a good armor break champ!! Who has the time or resources to rank up all their champs. The defenders we fight shouldn’t have some ridiculous extra abilities to prevent us from being able to beat them. Just give them the abilities they are endowed with and let us fight. If we fight terrible and lose that’s one thing…. This game is so frustrating. Sad, I used to really love playing it.
The difficulty increase is absurd and was completely unwarranted. Thanks for fkg up the game so badly. Reset to previous levels. Lower Cav difficulty a smidge and add Thronebreaker. So simple. Why did you think hv to jack with anything else ?? Sheesh. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

I hope things will get back to normal next month.
If you think the average UC player can 100% UC EQ with 100k-210k health pools, with 4* and without using a ton of revives you are absolutely delusional. No wonder you're getting ratioed left and right.
(yes, I know, git gud and wtf, 7 years and you're only Conqueror? Well, I spent that time slowly building my roster and doing content other than story mode.)
