Was mentioned he getting a lighter update is it just the coldsnap immunity or something else as well? Bc that be really disappointing if it's only immunity to coldsnap lol.

If 6* quake ever comes, I wouldn't be shocked if they gave her a completely different kit from what the others have.

The precedent is there for different champ rarities to have different kits (looking at you 1* Colossus), and they've clearly been taking measures to nerf her through nodes and parts of new champ kits.

So yeah, I'd expect that if she comes to the game as a 6*, it's with a completely different kit, or it's so late that 7*r3 are as common as a 6*r2 are today, making her 6* version obsolete before she ever launches.

Something like omega red/vision aarkus/bishop where being too close to the popsicle inflicts some damage while ice armor is active would make him pretty good.

Let the ice armor work the same for big hits but give it something like Peni where you have to break it incrementally rather than with one parry at the start of the fight.

I don't know how more unique you can make him, he has quite a few immunities as is (Bleed, Poison, Incinerate) and with the exception of the upcoming cold snap immunity, the stuff that he isn't immune to makes the most sense.

Anybody who plays Iceman knows all of his tricks, so they'll tell you he doesn't need to be rebuilt from the ground up.
I’m not saying he’s bad, but Emma has all those immunities + she’s also an evade counter. Frankly he’s a worse version of her, barring the ice armor.

I just want to see him stand out in the mutant class, like giving him a power “freeze” to control the enemy’s power or the ability to freeze enemies (like mantis’ sleep but exclusive to iceman). I don’t expect a whole rework, just some additions.
I disagree, Emma loses a lot of utility when you are going to try to use her DPS form. He is better for straight immunities and can tank SP3. I honestly never relied on Emma for her immunities, she and iceman are similar but iceman is more effective . She does have a good evade counter though.
I agree she loses that immunity utility in her DPS form, but you can easily retain the diamond form by spamming SP1s. Ice Man is more consistent though, he keeps those immunities constantly and can tank SP3s as you said.

I just hope we don’t get a Psychoman or Nova type buff which “increases” his damage marginally and does nothing to boost his utility. I would love to see a couple minor additions to his kit that make him more unique.

They already said it's going to be a light update with the only known guarantee is the addition of coldsnap immunity so I'd keep those expectations low.

Emma is a lot better than pre buff Iceman imo. Iceman was my first 5*R5 and Emma was my TB Rank 3 back in the day. You have to be a little bit better at playing her to not screw yourself when you need an immunity but she's honestly one of the best (if not the best) evade counters in the game and the damage is absolutely there if the SP2 crits (generally common for mutants). I think she's a better stun immune as well. Iceman really only handles encroaching stun well. Other situations I don't find it great. Having access to DoT is a good way to differentiate the champs as they are similar but Iceman's was never good enough. Could be soon though.

2 - Hitting an opponent affected by Coldsnap has a 33% chance to place a Frostbite
3 - Ice Armour stacks up to three, allowing him to tank several hits, and is all consumed by SP2 to enhance his damage like it usually does.

Iceman was top 3 mutant for a long time and he only lacks damge to be at the top again.

He has everything to be one of the best mutant, with coldsnap imminity he has more true immunities than anyone (EF is immune to everything but it is just only in diamond form so she still takes damage sometimes), he can easily counter evade, he can take multiple sp3 in one fight so he is a good option for the kind of Hyperion.

If he has Colossus kind of damage he will be a dream.
