So kabam was let known that the side quest node is broken (protection doesn't go away) on February 1st. It is now February 6th and nothing has been said or done on kabam's side.
The event ends in 2 days. Should we expect a fix or not? Some of us are waiting for the fix to do the quest.

It’s still manageable even with the node not working properly.

I did it with Galan and nimrod but there are other counters out there that can get the path done for you.

Shang is your solution. Or other champs with access to slow. Nimrod for Havok.

Yeah, I read the thread. Just wanted to know whether they are fixing it or not.
My point is, the node is broken, kabam was let known and they simply ignored it. For me it is as if they were like "whatever". Pretty disrespectful imo.

If you bring slow champs in at least 2 different classes (I used a Shang-Chi and She-Hulk) then you can make it through like they’re regular fights. Just make sure you have 2 different classes because you don’t want to be reminded the hard way that slow doesn’t work when you have class disadvantage.

I only have Shang Chi to use. There are 3 mutants on the lane. I was really counting on the fix. I appreciate the help you guys are giving me, but I was just asking if it's gonna be fixed.

Last we heard was that a fix was coming “later today” on Friday. Haven’t seen any change and no communication on exactly what that fix was/is supposed to be.

Are the nodes bugged? Was the node description wrong?

It really isn’t hard and there are a lot of options for the path. Havok is the sticking point. But there are a handful of options and Havok vs Havok is somewhat cheese if you just build to sp3 twice ignoring the nodes.

Do you have any DoT dealers with good debuffs on Mediums and Lights? I cleared all non mutants with Nick Fury without ever knocking them down and using the MLLLL bleed. The disorient on sp1 was too unreliable. I’d imagine BWDO cleans up too.

If you have G99 you just need to ramp her up on the first fight and end with an sp3. After that just make sure to end each fight with an sp3 and she can out dmg the node

You have to knock em down twice to remove protection if they're not slowed. When you first knock em down they get unstoppable but protection isn't removed. So you have to remove unstoppable and them knock em down again so they lose the protection.

Will try Fury and bwdo, even though she won't be good for storm, will try alternating them with shang.

An update just went live and the issue hasn't been fixed. Other than that framerates are off, inputs are off.

Time to quit the game. Thanks for all the tips guys. Best of luck.

The node isn't broken. There are just more steps you have to go through to remove the protection.

It doesn't say in the node descritption you have to knock em down twice to remove protection. Or that it has any interaction with the other node.
    Doesn't matter anymore though.

I just used Galan, built up to an sp3 and threw it once I hit 750 planetary mass. After the sp3 i just played passive until the harvest timed out and killed them.

super easy node. harvest bypasses protection and never worried about intercepting. though it wasn't too difficult to intercept when you're unstoppable

You ignore the nodes and protection. With Fury, parry, MLLL. Throw no specials. Just tested again against Angela. It’s slower, but I took her out without ever knocking her down in 2:41.

BWDO is weak for some reason so she won’t work.

There are a lot of slow champs also.

I used Scorp+Toad, Nick Fury, Havok, AA and never had to deal with protection or unstoppable. Looking back, could have also just Sp1 spam with Dragon man or built to sp3 for a 30sec slow that pauses with dex on S2099. I just really wanted to use Scorpion.

    Hey Summoners,

    Happy Monday.

Unfortunately, the team jumped the gun in thinking we could push the fix for this path ASAP. The process to update it is delayed, and unfortunately it looks like we'll be stuck with the path the way it is.

This thread has a lot of good champ suggestions to help. I know it's not ideal, the team apologies.

Not ideal? Even though I don't have the perfect roster for this, I may be able to manage with some of the suggestions given here.
What about those players that don't have those options? Should they spend resources/ money because of a mistake that is yours, and yours only?

U can shut down the node with any champ by doing heavy-intercept-heavy, yeah it sucks but u can do it with any champ

Just a tip for the next time, instead of dropping the patch itself, you could remove one of the nodes temporally while you work on it so players dont have to deal with the bug, thanks!
