Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

Kang is a human from the 31st century with no innate superpowers.

Increased Lifespan: Kang is over 70 years old chronologically, but the people of his era have improved biology to the point that they seem to age much slower than 21st century man. Thus he appears to be a man in his mid-40s.[17]

Nigh-omnipotence: Kang temporarily gained nigh-omnipotence by absorbing energy from a Celestial, Exitar. However, he only managed to absorb a small portion before being interrupted by Havok and Sunfire (who also absorbed energy from the same Celestial). The energy got dispersed and Kang was defeated. According to Immortus, had Kang succeeded, he would have dominated all life.[155]

Abilities
Superior-level Intellect: Though it is hard to gauge Kang's intellect given his futuristic origins, his genius is nothing short of super-human by modern standards. He commands technology beyond the most sophisticated designs of Stark Industries and Doctor Doom, and has made breakthroughs in time travel and in robotics. Kang is the only known time traveler (other than his counterpart Immortus) who possess the ability to travel through time without creating divergences. In fact Kang has the combined knowledge and experience of his counterparts from across the Multiverse.[17] Furthermore, while employing the vast resources of his empire, and when using his time-ship to penetrate the trans-dimensional realm of Limbo, from which all future eras are accessible, Kang theoretically has access to technology from any century, and presumably from alien worlds as well. Hence, in combination with the multiple resources available to him, Kang showed to have in his possession rare artifacts such as the last Cosmic Cube, demonstrating expertise to effortlessly manipulate it.[132] It may also include artifacts such as the Forever Crystal, which is capable to erase whole realities from existence.[156]

Political Savvy: Kang is a brilliant military tactician and a peerless general. Using his considerable charisma, Kang was able to raise an army and conquer his first world within mere weeks of building his armor. Kang has conquered everything within 100 light years from Other Earth, totaling "a thousand thousand" worlds,[17] which include the counterpart Badoon and Shi'ar empires of his reality, extending to several other dimensions. Though he considers it a chore, Kang is also a capable statesman. Kang is portrayed as commonly underestimating the amazing power provided by a Cosmic Cube, suggesting that he prefers to conquer worlds via more conventional and less exceptional means.[17]

Skilled Combatant: Kang is a master of both armed and unarmed combat. He has managed to go toe-to-toe with Captain America, and single-handedly held back Immortus' time-tossed army for several minutes during the Destiny War.

Indomitable Will: Through sheer force of will, Kang managed to separate himself from his future counterpart Immortus to make himself a distinct entity.[104] Kang is absolutely fearless, and will stop at nothing to accomplish his own goals.

Battle Armor: Kang's battle armor is produced from a rare synthetic alloy from the 40th century. It is neuro-kinetic, meaning it responds to his subconscious thoughts. Though Kang has no powers, his armor endows him with rough equivalents of super-human abilities.
Enhanced Strength: Gives Kang the ability to lift 5 tons.
Durability: The armor has a built in force-field that extends from 2 feet away from his body, outward to 20 feet in all directions. It can withstand even a nuclear strike at point blank range.
Anti-Gravity Device: Kang has a device in the gauntlets of his armor that allows him to render objects weighing up to 2.2 tons weightless.
Video Communicator: Built into the right wrist is a video communicator, which he can use to stay in contact with his bases from any point in the time-stream.
Time Travel: Kang's armor can create temporal divergences, giving him the ability to travel through and manipulate time.
Concussive Bolts: Kang can fire concussive blasts from the fingertips of his gauntlets; these blasts have the force of several tons of dynamite.
Weaponry: By cracking his fingers, Kang can summon any number of weapons which are transported to him through time-stream instantly.
Electric Shock: By flexing his muscles, Kang can activate a powerful electric shock.
Hover Pad: Kang has often made use of a hover-pad in his battles.
Survival Kit: Kang's armor has a self-contained atmosphere, 30 day supply of food, and waste disposal system.
Body Transference: Until recently, Kang employed nano-technology in his helmet's circuitry that enabled him to transfer his mind into a new body at the moment of death.
Kang's Light of the Centuries Sphere: A sphere that can transport people through space and time. It can also hold people captured in itself.[36] It travels at faster than light speeds,[42] probably fueled by a virtually inexhaustible energy source, or alternatively by accessing hyperspace.

Weapons
He typically carries various weapons, such as an anti-matter defense screen generator, a "vibration-ray" projector, an electromagnetic field amplifier, neutrino-ray warhead missile launcher (handgun size), electrical paralysis generator, nerve gas sprayer and a molecular expander. He commands a vast array of warriors from across all periods of time, including his own future era, armed with advanced weaponry. He used numerous robots, most notably his Growing Man stimuloids, packed with the "Growth Pollen" of the world Kosmos, which causes them to grow in size and strength by absorbing kinetic energy; this Growth Pollen uses the same energy accessed via the size-changing "Pym Particles" discovered by Dr Hank Pym.

Sue Storm possesses the ability to mentally bend all wavelengths of light around her or her target. This ability allows her to render the target in question invisible to the human eye and all forms of electronic detection. Sue can also generate invisible force fields that allow her to levitate herself or other objects, propel or manipulate them however she wishes, and generate invisible force weapons and protective shields.

Kang also possesses other abilities her past counterpart does not, such as apparent shapeshifting,[4] teleportation,[7] and molecular rearrangement.[7]
