BGs "Hits Received" Not Correct

It seems there is an issue with the BGs stats for "hits received". I have a feeling it is counting blocked hits. I have gone back and looked at some of my recent fights and it shows I am getting hit 10-15 times per fight even though I am not getting hit at all in the fights I check. It is making it appear as though I am getting hit a ton, yet still finishing at 90-100% health. It is giving the appearance of modding, which is obviously not true.

I have checked with a few other people in my alliance and they are seeing the same thing.

    Both hits received and dealt count blocked hits

    Interesting. I did not know that was a thing. Has it always been like that? I guess I can see that after checking a valkyrie BG fight and seeing 65 hits even though I only hit into the block.
