Will Controls and Lag Ever Improve?

Title says it all. So tired of finding time to log on and the game plays like it’s being run on a poorly maintained Commodore 64.

At some stage, the team surely has to fess up and admit that controls, BGs, AI and a lot else is just not performing up to minimal standards. I realize that puts them into a bind with providing ongoing relief again, but surely that’s better for the soul than the current stance.

Fix it? They spent all their time and money rigging it this way. Hahaha. Game is deader then disco.

It’s been 2 years and they go from absolutely unplayable to ok to absolutely unplayable again. And there’s no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes they work, and 2 hours later they’re toast.

I personally don’t believe a fix will ever be in place to bring parry and dex back to the smoothness they were at in Q1 2021. Let alone the busted AI that started up in 2022. It just is what it is at this point.

I doubt we will ever experience a smooth running game ever again. I always expect the worse case scenario when it comes to the the longer fights. I'm pretty much nearly always proved right. Whether it's lag during a special, frozen screen on a parry, insane game play from AI or my champ rooted just before a heavy. There are numerous other glitches of course but these are the few we pretty much all have to deal with.

I have more faith in winning millions on the lotto than the inputs being fixed. The worst decision they made was removing the beta input because at least I could actually play with them turned off. Now I log on, move in AQ and go off to play a different game.

We know the problem doesn’t have a quick fix, which is fine, I’m sure they’re putting effort into solving the problem. But what prompted the compensation to end?

The game is still obviously broken, control issues cost players countless revives/potions/bg matches per day, and yet we receive nothing to make up for that. If the game is going to remain broken with no end in sight, the players deserve some sort of compensation to make up for the resources we lose due to bugs outside our control.

I made the mistake of trying grandmaster with controls like this.
Im not best player in game but i cant really do well timed block task when it doesn't work in normal fight, and started adding heavys mid-combo now

My newest with the AI is throwing specials while they're stunned..experienced it thrice now and it's just pure rigging.

If they knew how to fix it, it would've been fixed by now
Something that has been broken for about 2 years (which is roughly a quarter of this game's age) then it is probably broken to such an extent that it can't be fixed

I’m seeing all kinds of wacky lag finishing the last paths of 2.2 TB EQ. It’s like the game can’t handle what’s going on and just slows to a stutter.

As long as they keep piling new things on top of a broken base game it will not improve. Things like relics and new nodes make it so much harder to tackle the basic problems of the game. Since they need to look in a lot more places.

No and it always seems the worst in AW, AQ, and BGs where it costs players the most in stress and completely overpriced consumables

This point exactly. but what do they do? tend to screw things even more and tell us the game is working as intended. seriously? People spend a lot of money and put in so much energy to help run this game but those running the game are so stingy, they think giving out compensation for their broken game is like doing us some sort of big favor. We understand fixing the issues might take a while which is fine. this lag, modders, and bug issue problem isn't only limited to mcoc but for Christ's sake, do something, anything to at least calm and assure the community that you are there for us as we are here for you guys. This is ridiculous

I'm not exactly sure what can be said for the questions here. Will it ever improve is a pretty broad statement to answer. It improves for some, persists for others, and eventually outdates some devices people are using. I get that this is somewhat of a vent about these issues, but there's very little that can be done without providing information as well. This isn't always a one-and-done process. Things like device, OS, game mode, when it occurred, all those things go into trying to identify the issue. Even if it's a matter of repeating the same report, that still adds to the information.

Glad that's solved

It's certainly more information for them to go on than "Your game is messed up.".
