Kabam does care about backlash, but only when it comes from their spenders. That's why the boycotts at 12.0 were so effective because pretty much everyone stopped spending until kabam fixed their mess they made.

I think it's safe to say kabam won't alter the 7* price just because it has big $$$ potential, which it has, but it's gonna be worse if they change it, if players are known to expect some things like the dupe price of 2-3-4-5-6* giving a certain fixed number as an output then it's pretty logical to think we gonna get the same for 7*. Although i would argue in KABAM'S decision making to increase the dupe shards of 6* crystal to better coincide with whatever price 7* maybe before launch. So for example if kabam wants to price 7* at 20000 they sure can but need to increase the dupe shards from 6* to 275x2 which is 550 each time we dupe a 6*. That way kabam has increased the shards needed to open 7* and they can sell the shards in future more comfortably in small number or however they want. But most players will riot if 7* suddenly needed more 6* crystals dupe to open 1 then what 6* or 5-4-3* needed before them it's the 1 thing that is constant. Dumb move to change that and not expect anything even from spending players and big YTers.

I think 7 star is (should be) end game in regards to max limit; and if that's the case, it'll cost more and disregard the pattern it's 6 star and 5 star predecessors followed

The examples you gave impact is pretty much isolated to impacting FTP. And they’ve been really clear for months there are no plans for the trade in store at this time.
The cost of 7* will directly impact on spending players, who’ll be buying shards as part of the prestige race.
As far as I have read, nobody knows how many shards it will take to form a 7* crystal next year and anything so far’s been only speculation. Is it valid to think Kabam hasn’t announced the amount of shards necessary because they’re trying to measure how quickly we acquire 6* dups now to determine what the right amount of 7* shards would be to get a 7* crystal? I don’t see why they wouldn’t have made that information known when they announced 7*’s if they still weren’t sure. Thoughts?
I feel vindicated that my original post has been confirmed as the reason they didn’t announce the cost of 7* crystals early on…. VINDICATION!!!!
