PSA: Short of ISO or Gold? Do all the Battle Scarred and Mint objectives

I'm still working on the next actual part of my ISO economy series, and Kabam is doing everything possible to distract, divert, or just plain detonate my analysis there. So it'll probably be a while yet. And in another attempt to basically say "ISO problem, what ISO problem" Kabam stuck a gigaton of ISO into the Bauble Bubble Boobie Banana Babushka Bahama Mama Bonanza Blowout Banquet objectives. How many?

Every day, five "Battle Scarred" objectives that contain one ISO selector (which contains ten tier 5 ISO bricks) and five "Mint" objectives which each contain two ISO selectors. That means every day it is possible to collect a total of 1x5x10 + 2x5x10 = 150 Tier 5 ISO bricks. A Tier 5 ISO brick is worth 5k ISO, but if applied to the appropriate class gets a 50% bonus so that is actually 7.5k ISO per brick. Which means every day, it is possible to collect 150x7500 = 1,125,000 ISO. Across seven days, that's 7,875,000 ISO.

That's enough ISO to take a 6* champ from rank 1/1 to rank 5/65 (5,152,491) with enough left over to take another 6* from rank 1/1 to 3/45 with about 200k ISO left over.

It is probably the easiest rapid source of ISO in the game. For players short of ISO, they should try to knock out every single one of these objective every single day (they aren't hard). If you're short of gold, you should also do them as they not only get you goldpool crystals, you can also sell ISO for gold.

PS: Pro-tip. If you're having trouble with the Deadpool objective because you don't have Redpool, you can use your once a day redeal option to randomly change that one (the circle-y button just above the "GO NOW!" button).

You don't need to do all of these objectives every single day to max out the milestones in the Bauble Bubble Bullet Backdraft Belt Buckle event, but if you're short of ISO or Gold or both, you should probably do all of them anyway. This is a staggering amount of ISO for relatively little effort.

It is already day three, but there's still five days left. Hopefully this helps someone out there scrambling for ISO or Gold and might not have realized just how much ISO is in those objectives.

Hey mate, just had a question. I'm finishing all the objectives everyday, but I'm claiming only half of them, to fill the 1000 point meter. Does that mean, that the ones i completed, but didn't claim will be reset, or will they go to my rewards stash??

Nah if you completed but didn’t claim, then they will stay there. You just miss out on goldpool crystals and iso

Nah if you completed but didn’t claim, then they will stay there. You just miss out on goldpool crystals and iso

As far as I’m aware this is correct. So as is true for most objective-based rewards I recommend claiming reasonably soon after completing.

I've been selling a lot of the Iso, and have gone from 13m-odd gold to over 15m-odd. I got a load of 5*s from the crystals I opened the other day, but I'm not getting cats fast enough, so I decided to hell with it and just sold it off to stop me from getting overwhelmed.

If you are currently focused on ranking 5* champs you’re burning gold and ISO hundreds of thousands at a time. When you eventually start ranking 6* champs you’ll be burning ISO and gold millions at a time. 15m gold is a lot of gold to rank 5* but it will eventually be a relatively low supply. So the flood of ISO you’re getting now that you’re just selling for gold is eventually going to come in handy.

The two best sources for T1A are the catalyst clash arena and the glory store. You can get about ten a month from the arena, and a reasonable amount of glory should net you about twenty a month from the glory store. T1A is one of those bottlenecks that seems tough, but it’s manageable with time and eventually you outgrow it (and move on to bigger and better bottlenecks).

T5B is going to be extremely tough to get at your progress level. For now, 6* champs are basically 5* champs with a free rank up to rank 4. Still, even though gold is probably not a bottleneck for you now, never look a gift horse in the mouth when the game is willing to hand you non-expiring resources. One day, for most players, everything eventually becomes a bottleneck, at least temporarily.

I'm grateful as hell for the gold, believe me. I usually do one 5* rank-up per month with the T1As I get in the eq rewards and save the glory in case I need to use T4CCs before they expire and I need the alphas for a second rank up.

This is not true for me. Either my objectives are bugged or which ones you get between them being battle scarred or mint is random. I posted in another thread the other day and only got disagrees but I am not getting the even 5/5 split I got when the objectives appeared the 1st day anymore.

Again today I didn't get 5/5, I got 6 battle scarred and 4 mint. Yesterday I was able to "reroll" one of the battle scarred objectives and the new one I got was mint but when I tried again today it was just another battle scarred one. When the rewards we get from crystals (champs, catalysts, gold, etc.) are RNG it doesn't seem right to me that the types of objectives you receive which determine the quantity of rewards you can obtain should be RNG as well (I don't mean the actions you have to take to complete them but whether they are battle scarred or mint).

DNA was probably assuming every day would be same 5/5 split like he had 1st day.
I’ve have 5/5 before, and 4/6 (lesser/higher).
Did a replace today on a lesser one and got another lesser in exchange.
But I wouldn’t doubt that being random it might potentially give you a higher one for replacing a lesser one. (or in reverse too, but why would someone risk replacing a higher level one)

But will definitely try to remember to replace a lesser one EVERY DAY, hopefully get some higher ones in return on occasion.

Hmm, interesting. It was balanced for my main and two alt accounts three days in a row, so I assumed it was supposed to be balanced. I will try to investigate.
