Hi, folks! Hope all is well!
I’m not diving too deeply into this one; Iceman’s been around long enough where basically every player with some longevity in the game probably has one at the 4/5-star level, and I even see 6-star Icemen (I have one) far more than before — that rarity hasn’t been around as long.
Iceman has always had an elite kit — the immunities and utility have always had a place in the game, and I was one who used the kit a bit more than most.
Everyone knows that the kit being used more frequently was held back by the DPS. You could play it, but it just wasn’t as efficient or effective as others kits, especially as time passed.
This buff that went live today brings Iceman into relevance for where the game is now — the DPS is relevant for 2023. It’s not broken, but it is far more effective. You don’t even have to have Synergy help.
It’s a good buff — the reason I am even posting about it is that these are the kinds of buffs I love when Kabam does them.
There was never anything wrong with the character design. It just needed a DPS adjustment and mechanic/timer adjustments, as the fights in the game have more nodes and higher health pools.
Iceman has always been one of my favorite characters, dating back to the OG Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends television show, way back when. (Look it up, young people.)

Now that I have a 6* and he's buffed or being buffed, I'll be ranking mine and playing him again, if only for nostalgia but even better if he's relevant again.
Now I will rank my 5* because he helped me with that annoying CB boss of 6.1
