Gorr with suicides

My first 7 star hero is Gorr. While I like his playstyle and I'm enjoying using him he takes too much damage from suicides. Even with NF Deadpool synergy. The damage is great but he loses it's hp too soon. I don't wanna turn off suicides because my best champions are too friendly for these masteries. I wish there was a way to fix this problem.

There’s nothing to fix because this isn’t a problem. If you’re going to run Liquid Courage and Double Edge masteries then you’re going to sacrifice the ability to use certain champs the way you want in some content. So you have a choice to make. Play with 30% of the champ pool at an increased level of damage, or play with 90% of the champ pool with regular damage.

With NF Deadpool the 30% goes up to 90%. Gorr is the only champ that takes so much damage from suicides.

If you keep getting the buffs you can safely stay at around 30%. But it's hard

Have you considered making him a Herald to support him further by reducing the damage from the poison?

Also don't use health boosts or the big green boosts as it will make the damage taken from Recoils worse due to how WP doesn't scale with boosted health.

    Daredevil? Attuma?

Sorry, but I have to agree with @Furrymoosen - these Masteries are referred to as 'suicides' for a reason. Although 'Recoil Masteries' is probably a better term we should move towards using.

There are a few champions like Omega Red and Diablo who become so good with Recoil Masteries that they're borderline broken.

It's not unreasonable that the opposite is true; and Recoil Masteries make a few champions undesirable/unworkable. I'm sorry this affects a 7* you happen to have pulled, but the solution is to remove the Masteries, not to change the champion.

I thought Gorr gained some Regen when afflicted with Bleed and/or Poison...?

Does it not do that much?

I know that he does not gain HP from Willpower and instead gains Vicious buffs

or does he rely on specials too much?

Not ideal to use him with them, but as it was mentioned you can keep him at around 30% pretty much indefinitely once you get there as long as you don’t get hit a bunch.

Yes, he's almost useless with suicides. The only way to make him marginally viable, is 5 hit combo ending in light, then only hit with double medium so you stay in venom magic. Each double medium will give you a regen buff.

When you change into volt magic after 30 seconds, do two 5 hit combo ending in light to get back to venom magic.

The annoying thing is, that you end up "stabilising" at around 35% health, it limits you to sp3, pretty much and takes away from his main rotation.

So he's a great 7*, but running suicides, he's going to be tough to get value from..

    But!!

You run suicides, so yes you are limited in some regards, but you have free, infinite healing, with a few borderline broken champions and can also cover the bases for poison, bleed and shock damage. So do you need a 7* gorr? I'm guessing not and with the current 7* pool, none of them are truly great with suicides, so it's a sensation we will have to get used to (I'm fully wedded to suicides too!!).

Buy a 1000 unit BG deck with a different mastery setup and enjoy. You don't really need him for much else when looking at other cosmic.
