Why is no one talking about rosters being devalued by 7* release?

How all this 7* action has instantly devalued my entire roster. I don't live and breathe this game, but I enjoy my time playing. And Kabams mega-money grab knocked my roster and my alliance down some pegs. Am i missing something here? Is there a secret repository of 7* that I don't know about?

Probably because rosters haven’t been devalued in the slightest. The 6* pool has 230ish champs vs the 7* pool having 36, so there’s already 200 champs you can only currently have as 6*. Kabam has also already thought ahead and once we start seeing 7* R3 and/or higher they will be releasing Ascension which is supposed to make 6* relevant in the contest longer than 5* lasted after the launch of 6*. So they’re actively putting in effort to keep the value of your roster longer. Finally, if you think adding a super small pool of non-game breaking champs that are relatively R4/5 6* equivalent devalues your roster then your roster certainly wasn’t much to write home about in the first place. As it stands, unless you’re a whale focused on prestige, or trying to compete amongst the whales, the addition of 7* made little to no difference for your roster and in no way reduced it’s value.

Also, perhaps some reasoning or evidence would be helpful on future posts you make.

Please explain further how your roster is devalued. What can't you do in the game that you could do before 7*'s were released? I really want to know how your roster and your alliance was devalued.

If by devalue, you mean you put less value into your 6*s and below because now 7*s are all the rage, then sure. If you stop and realize nothing has changed about how your champs function and content they clear, then there has been no devaluing at all.

In other words, the perception that your entire roster was devalued by 7*s is a you issue, and is also pretty absurd.

I actually think the opposite....I have (2) 7 stars and decent ones at that (Elsa and gully 2099) so people have been regularly banning them in bg.....which is awesome because now my usual auto bans are becoming way more relevant in bg (idoom, rintrah,knull,scorpion).

Would this fall into the classic "I love my i-phone 12. It's the best!!!"...a couple of years later "I wish my i-phone was better. The store should give i-phone 14 as an upgarde to loyal customers".

The value of an item, thing, or concpet is dependent upon the person who has that item. Every 6 star champ in one's roster can do the exact same thing that it could always do prior to the release of 7 star champions. If we were to nit pick then we could argue that the possibility of going up against 7 stars in battle grounds could make match ups tougher, but I think that same argument could be made for Rank 5 champs.
