Venom used to be one of the best utility champs around in terms of counters, although over time a lot of other champs have exceeded him. But still:

Has armor buffs (counters things like Havok detonations)
Has armor break (useful against champs that have annoying armor buffs, like Warlock)
Has rainbow buffs (counters nodes that require a lot of buffs, *or* a lot of different buffs)
Counters Evade from all Spider-champs
Immune to power drain and power burn from tech champs (Vision, Peni, Warlock, etc)
True Strike when opponent below 18% health (think IMIW)
Nullify on SP1 (bonus: nullified buffs heal Venom)

He doesn't counter everything, but once upon a time he used to counter a surprising number of the most annoying things in the game simultaneously.

I’m not sure if Absorbing man counters more than quicksilver but I find he’s usable in almost any content.
-Immune to bleed, shock, incinerate, cold snap, frostbite, armor break armor shatter and poison(with synergy)
-reduces unstoppable, unblockable and immortality buff duration
-has crit resistance, insane physical or insane energy resistance that lets you tank hits (besides sp3)
-has great regen
-unblockable sp attacks
-his forms are paused when buffs expire so buff heavy matches are still good for him even if he can’t remove them.

He basically never leaves my questing team.

Kingpin with Hood synergy. Basically anything you do to him except dex block or miss makes him angrier.

Quicksilver counters a lot of things but he is nothing compared to the champ who counters nearly everything in the game:

QS isn't even top three science, let alone having the most utility in the game.

The only caveat to countering Evade and Unstoppable is it (Slow) doesn't work on Skill champions.
But having said that, it is so relaxing once you reach 300 Momentum. I don't have to worry about Evade/Unstoppable/Miss for a long time.

True but luckily I run Quicksilver with a full mutant team (Prof X, Red Mags, Colossus and Omega Red).

Alongside Prof X countering evade/miss against skill, the mutants will smash any skill champ that counters QS.

It’s a match made in heaven because QS’s synergy with Prof X and Mags makes it so that defenders can’t purify debuffs against them so they can parry stun freely and crush literally any skill champ, including Korg.

I'm thinking if Valkyrie/Masacre they can counter so much by just simply not hitting the opponent directly (hitting block)
