Just watched a youtube video by Kt1 where he found that players that got a 7 day temp ban got rewarded when banned was lifted.

this is a slap to the face to everyone that plays the game legally and encourages people to break kabam rules as you get rewarded for it.

I strongly believe a temp ban wasn’t enough punishment, you gave them a week vacation and by the looks of it iit was a paid vacation too

Now they get to return to the contest and compete in BGs, AQ and AW and dominate the contest again by using their inflated rosters that they built through cheating, just cause you removed the 2 champions from the arena you investigates doesn’t clear them from all the 100s of arenas that they have been doing this on

If it is true then I hope it gets fixed. I just didn’t see any evidence in the video itself, just a screenshot.

If we got some proof then I definitely think it should be fixed and removed from all cheaters accounts

KT said he spoke to people from those alliances, but I’m not too sure I trust the words from cheaters and banned players anyway, so if we could see his proof I’d be more likely to believe it.

Kabam doesn't jump straight to perma bans. They have a process usually. 7 day bans are the first step for first time offenders. But their rewards are usually taken from them.

Kabam has an automated system that can send rewards to people who haven't logged in for awhile. People previously have reported getting those rewards for not logging in for about 2 days while those who haven't logged in for months never got anything. Idk how it works, but it is likely 1 dude might have been automatically sent that. It isn't kabam gifting cheaters, it is kabams automated system doing whatever the heck it does.

I have the impression that the 7-day ban will have been useless for example a ban bot finished in the top 20 during the last versus while the person recovered his account 1 day before, I'm talking about a single case I didn't check everything don't fall on me 😂

I took a 3 month break from the game and got nothing. Please note I didn’t expect anything either.

If this is an oversite, whatever scripting there is to give out “welcome back” rewards should exclude anyone who has ever been banned for cheating, or at the very least anyone who has been banned in the last year.

If it was given intentionally to soften the blow for cheaters who have also spent on the game, then honestly I don’t know what any of us are even doing playing the game anymore.

I've taken 2 breaks from this game first one was 2 months and I was ftp at the time nothing. Next one was about 3 weeks and I had been a spender by that point in time and got a welcome back package plus I think a deal offer it was a long time ago so hard to remember exactly.

I don't think I've ever disagreed with you before but first time for everything. If Kabam had done anything to deserve the benefit of the doubt on anything in regards to cheating I would agree with you, but as most of us know, Kabam deserves the opposite of the benefit of the doubt based on historical precedent.

I can't tell if this is serious question or sarcastic but I'll reply anyway. As long as I can remember (started playing in 2015), there have been constant issues with cheaters, modders, etc.

This includes in many game modes such as arenas (bots are always extremely obvious), AW, merc who beat game and story content for others and more.

Sure the whole BG cheating is fairly new only because BG is fairly new but it's been rampant since season 1.

Over the many years of constant issues on this, Kabam ignores it and the complaints for many many years (especially on arena mods and cheaters).

It is shocking to me how people who feel like Kabam deserves the benefit of the doubt on this subject can completely ignore the facts on their lack of handling this for at least 8 years now.

It's not like this distrust is caused by hate cause oh well he just hates Kabam, no this distrust is caused by the mountain of balancing, bugs, cheater issues etc that have plagued the game for the past 4-6 months. So you can't really blame people for taking this whole situation at face value, especially considering a lot of the people who were banned are top spenders.
If this turns out to be a lie then good for Kabam, we'll all stand corrected but until they say something (which I doubt they will) people are free to think whatever they want to think.

I agree people can think whatever they want, but if they decide they *know* what happened based on a screenshot and the word of the modders and cheaters who got banned - they probably aren't thinking about it too smartly. Like I said, I don't know for sure what happened, but neither do you, or Chatter. So that's literally all Cat and I are saying. If you disagree with that, then you either don't take proof seriously enough and believe anything on the internet as long as it suits your opinion, or you trust modders way more than is reasonable.

Now, do I believe this whole situation is 100% real and I'm grabbing torches and pitchforks? Nah. Am I leaning more towards it being real than fake? Absolutely. When did I say give them the benefit of the doubt? I said take a modders and cheaters word with a grain of salt. Nobody’s asking you to give kabam the benefit of the doubt. If Kabam had done anything to deserve the benefit of the doubt on anything in regards to cheating I would agree with you, but as most of us know, Kabam deserves the opposite of the benefit of the doubt based on historical precedent.
Your dislike of Kabam doesn't stop proof being a black and white thing. Proof is not a screenshot of one ingame mail, no account name included, not even of one member that KT alleges.

If it's true, then Kabam can answer whether it was a mistake and what they'll do about it to fix it. Until then, I forgot it was guilty until proven innocent...

They’re saying don’t assume something is true until it’s proved, that works for anyone no matter how much you like or dislike them.

Right, if you're constantly breaking the law though people are probably going to think you're guilty. Given the massive streak of modding botting latency and AW issues Kabam has been having these past few months it's easy to see why some people would believe they're capable of doing something as dumb as sending the cheaters (who also happen to be big spenders) compensations for their week bans

When did kt1 cheat?? I watch his videos all of the time and don't remember this happening.....I mean, as far as stirring the pot......kabam has a self stirring pot. It stirs itself by existing lol. All I see is someone in the community, who has a voice using that voice and platform to take the side of the players.....I find it hard to not get behind that???? Again.....unless I completely missed something and he cheated....I just don't remember that

When you have a free to play game, it makes it hard to counter cheaters unless you have a system that can automatically ban cheaters with perfect accuracy. It is always a hassle when innocent people get banned because they had really good RNG with AA in BGs.

Kabam also has been working on the modder and botting situation and making life better for everyone. Also considering kabam is giving only 1 warning to arena bothers before a permaban would also suggest that they wouldn't purposefully send compensation to those who got temporarily banned.

Has kabam done well with the situation in the past? No, but theyvare doing better now, so I'll take the small victories as they come.
