Addressing Mythic Crystal Issue (1250 Crystals instead of Shards)

I think @Coppin had it right yesterday. They should have locked the game for emergency maintenance. Reopened for anyone that didn't open a mythic crystal in that 30 minutes or however long it was. Then took the time on the other accounts until they were cleaned up.

Not a programmer in any of my past lives.

But if I managed a bunch of new folks who kept making errors, I’d probably try to keep it very simple for a while until the new folks began to figure it out.

It really does make me wonder how they didn't catch that.

Most probably a simple mistake like putting in mythic_crystal instead of mythic_crystal_shard.

In many professional fields, a single word is the subject of intense negotiation and can have massive consequences for any of the involved parties.

I tend to think *simple* mistakes arise from insufficient attention to detail.

yeah that couldve been possible. But now they have to deal with iso, gold, champs, shards, ranking resources they spent, content they did and it was just not 10 accounts, its hundreds. I really think its not possible to revert all that but lets see

It would have been faster to shutdown a few hours, correct everything including SQ bug... Lets hope the fix it anyway...

I'd probably open 10 to see how unlucky or lucky I am.. but knowing that whatever champion gotten will likely be taken away would sour the taste if ever I happen to pull champions I wanted.

At most maybe people get 1 or 2 6 stars at a decent rank because of this. Definitely not as bad as people say. Aswell as all the iso it gave but which tbh we needed that, the economy right now in the game is trash after july 4th and many people dont even have a single piece of iso. The 7 stars for me are the problem though, if there was a way to just remove the 7 stars would be a lot more easier because that is the future.

If you exploit an obvious bug -- like opening more than a thousand crystals you received for doing a quest that would normally give you some shards -- you deserve whatever punishment you get.

considering they sell 6* Nexus crystals for thousands of units, and people could have received over 200 6* champs plus 5 7* champs thru this exploit, the modder comparison mentioning thousands of ill-gotten units is not equivalent at all
