Removing the rewards from the mythic crystal mishap is crazy hard to do

Hi guys. I was looking on the forums, and seen someone mention rewards from content, from having such stacked rosters from opening the mythic crystals. I let this roll around in my head for a bit. It's mind blowing, what Kabam has to do to rectify this.

You would have to remove the champions and remaining crystals.
Then, remove shards they got from duping, and the crystals, such as max signature stones.
Now it gets hard. You have to see what content they pushed, and with what champs......

Battleground wins, ranks. With this, players that suffered losses to these players need some compensation. That's difficult.
Solo content, legends runs specifically.
Arena wins, you have to get it all, or exploiters will get a win. Leaving anything, will enrich a culture of exploiting.

I don't envy the employees that will have to do this. A mass in game mail should go out, letting players know not to use those champs. Even if you had a champ before the error, and used it to do content after duping that champ 10 times, that content is a product of an error/exploit.

    What do you folks think?

I agree, this is a nightmare for Kabam and I don't pity the team(s) that are currently trying to rectify this issue. Disabling the crystal was for the best and hopefully helps them track mythic crystal specific rewards so they can sort things out.

I also do hope that someone isn't fired over this, it's probably a very easy/innocent mistake - checking the wrong box in a drop down menu or something.

It's actually why I recommended just rolling accounts back the day it happened. But that becomes less feasible every day that passes, but if done in the initial moments; yeah, people would complain but it was realistically the smoothest way to do it.

    Anyway, good luck.

This is not an easy task for sure but i think you are expecting too much here. What does Kabam have to do:
    1. They got to know about the bug about 2- 3 hours in. So, stop mythic crystals. This step is done.
    2. Now they need to go in and check everyone who opened mythic crystals in those 2-3 hours. If they purchased the deal, ban them for 7 days.
    3. After banning, remove ALL gains from the time of crystal collection. Related to the bug or otherwise. This includes new champions, gold, iso, rewards, etc. If they finished a side quest, then undo that side quest too. Doesnt matter if they did it authentically or not.
    4. Those people that opened more than a certain amount of crystals (I think this number should be 10), get their account banned for exploiting a bug.
    5. Then they need to make their way back to those accounts that have more than 1250 crystals and manually delete thr crystals from those accounts.
    6. Finally, they should add a to al players in the summoner advancement rewards. Just one extra reward for those people who genuinely had mythic crystals and couldnt open it on this period. Cant do better than that. Would suggest 6* shards.

Kabam cant give compensation to people defeated in battlegrounds and stuff. Way too much work.

Except nobody is getting banned over this

@MrSakuragi Some people should get banned. I would bet some took advantage. Opened 100s of crystals, and plowed through content. Some probably don't, on the other hand. But, Kabam needs to send a message.

@Ansh_A The compensation for losses from the exploiters just needs to be a energy refill. Nothing fancy, no ranking or anything like that. Just a refill, for the opportunity to go get your points.

@Darkness275 Rolling back those accounts would probably blanket cover a lot, but there should be a threshold. Example would be: opened 10, just go remove manually, opened 100, yeah, roll it back.

This is a great opportunity for Kabam to show they can handle their business. Especially in light of all the recent issues and bugs.

No one will be banned. This has already been announced by Kabam.

The only question is whether Kabam will completely undo this bug. A look at the bug history only shows that it is very likely that this bug will be fixed for some accounts, but the majority will be allowed to keep all rewards from these crystals.

I know some who have opened hundreds of these crystals and none of them have been fixed as of now.

The longer it takes, the less likely it is that anything will happen at all.

As a player, you can now either accept it or draw your own conclusions from it. Also, know some who would quit the game if nothing happened.

All of this leaves some strange aftertaste when some lucky ones get more champs in 30 minutes than others can earn in two years.
