Battle room mis matches

Why are the match ups so mis matched
My strongest hero has around 8000 points and I keep getting matched up with people who have “all” hero around 20,000-15000 points. It is impossible to win a battle. I think the algorithms need to be fixed.
Who else has experienced this?

I would like to encourage you to read some of the other many threads on this exact topic.

But I am guessing you are in p2 and finally started facing everyone as Kabam took out the roster restriction.

Why is it a load?

You think you should get same rewards as paragon players without fighting them? Would you prefer a lower, progression appropriate reward payout?

I think you should. If you think your entitled to same or better rewards than those players with far stronger rosters than you without having to face them then do yourself a favor and uninstall ASAP.

Totally get your frustration there. This is just kinda how the BGs system works for now. Every player has their limit. Some in Silver, some in Uru. Once you reach your limit, you'll be matched almost exclusively with larger rosters and won't be able to make much progress. I'd recommend just using your elders marks to get to wherever your limit is and only use energy after that. It's not a perfect system, but smaller accounts just kinda have to accept loses after a certain point.

It is just a mobile game. If you find this game is not worth playing or you are not enjoying then find a different game. Not trying to be mean. BTW there are lot more to do other than BG. And those other game modes will give you the resources to build your roster. BG is a competitive mode. Don't think, BG as a sole progression mode. It is not and it never will be.

Use only energy to save up Elder's marks from progressing in VT for several seasons; then you will have maxed them out at 9k and will have plenty to use. When you get to a roadblock for the season, stop and focus on story mode to grow your account to come back the next season even stronger. Keep doing this until you are strong enough to really compete.

If your strongest is an 8k rating, BG really isn't what you should be focused on. Use the units instead to reach TB or paragon, and BG will be much more enjoyable going forward.

Do you spend *all* your time and resources by lighting it in fire in content that’s beyond your capabilities? Maybe you should take your 8000 PI champs and go tackle the Grandmaster and Eternity of Pain.

What’s that? That would be an irresponsible thing to do and a waste of the resources you have? Hmm…seems like you’d be better off putting your efforts elsewhere.

Imagine if someone told you this:

I went to the monthly event, and I did Contender, then Proven, then Conqueror, and even Cavalier. But then I tried to do Thronebreaker and the difficulty shot way up. I was already facing 25k defenders but now they are 60k and there's all these crazy nodes and its just ridiculous. I just have a few 6* champs and some 5* R3s and I can't see how it is fair that I have to face 7* rank 3s and nodes I've never seen before. This is totally unfair the game should make that content something I can actually do. If they don't make Thronebreaker difficulty more fair for me I'm just going to quit, because what's the point of doing anything if I get roadblocked like that.

That's what you're saying in BG. It is impossible for you to win, so it is unfair. The game should figure out how strong you are, and find matches you can win, so you can progress as far as you like. Because if you hit a roadblock, its a problem with the game's "algorithms."

The game's algorithms *protected* you from stronger match ups, but only up to a point. Instead of the difficulty getting harder and harder, it stayed flat until you reached a point where that umbrella of protection disappeared. What you are seeing now is the true strength of the competition at that tier, not the artificially low one you've been seeing up to this point. To get farther, you have to be able to beat those guys.

Everyone gets stopped in monthly EQ somewhere, except for the strongest players who can currently do the strongest difficulty. Everyone gets stopped in BG eventually, for some that's P2, for some that's Diamond, for some that's Uru in the GC. But everyone gets stopped somewhere, based on how skilled they are, how strong their roster is, and how well they play in BG.

I agree 100% with @DNA3000. Even the top players get stuck somewhere since there can only be one summoner at the top. Matching makig has changed for the better in my opion so that below Paragon players don't just face only each other until GC. There was a huge uproar with the previous matching making where Paragon players were actually at a disadvantage since they only face other paragon players who roster was stacked. Paragon players were in the cycle of not advancing due to this and TB, Cavalier and Uncollected were advancing to GC in droves. @BeroMan made a video about the paragon situation. There is no perfect match making but I like the current model. If match making tier tied to progession based then I would be ok with it. Even then there's always complaints that I'm a new Cav, Paragon, Uncollected or TB and I'm facing a stack opponent. It's never going to 100% satisfy everyone no matter what Kabam does.
