Is Mephisto viable as a r3 in BG this season, or Weapon X instead?

Trying to just toss in another defender into my BG deck before I grind out the remaining points to get 400k in the next few days. Mephisto is r2 sig 80 right now, and Weapon X is unawakened (I can change that) at R1 still.

Both are currently candidates to go up to r3

Mephisto is incredible on defense while weapon x is a piece of cake when you know how to fight him (or use nimrod). I’d go mephisto

I get tripped up by mephisto far more than weapon x so my vote goes towards mephisto
