Can we someday have a paragon difficulty to the existing Variants?

It sounds fairly straightforward for kabam, they wouldn’t need to make new quests, only up the health and damage of the defenders and add harder nodes, the rewards would be 6* rank up gems and 7* shards, not to mention the gold that variants have always been good for.
