Please rework Kindred for offense.

As an owner of a 7* Kindred, this guy is absolutely horrible to use offensively. He would be so much fun if he was more useable for questing,war, or AQ. I don’t know if these types of posts are allowed, but offensively this guy needs some work.
Otherwise, his design is great. It really sucks when the coolest looking champs and most fun champs aren’t very good or useable.

    I agree, but that reason is to help champs reach their targets. Kindred is targeted at being a tough defender, with some offensive use in specifically buff match ups. Outside of that, he’s targeted at being sustainable through healing, but not necessarily putting out incredible damage.

    I’m not saying he’s definitely hit those targets and won’t be rebalanced, but just bear that in mind when playing him. He’s not supposed to be incredible on attack. I also think completely useless is a bit of an exaggeration, he has decent numbers for buff matchups.
    I completely agree with you, I’m not seeing any decent numbers at all though, granted he’s unawakened but to only have decent numbers at low health is just terrible when awakened. Especially when he’s so sustainable, as of now where he stands he is great as a defender. Which is what they were aiming for but no champ these days that are being buffed or released is intended to have this low of damage output. I’m sure this was unintended. Korg has a higher damage output.

    Seriously. Not asking for him to be OP, but I really like the guy I’d really love to be able to get some use out of him where I get to ACTUALLY play with him rather than put him on defense.

    It makes sense, and maybe you’re here with the early take that ends up being correct. But I do think it’s a bit early to decide, I’m personally going to test him out on attack in buff matchups and see how he performs in BGs for example.

    And these decisions are based on a lot of data, if you’re correct in your take then the data will reflect it!
    I appreciate you hearing me out, I’m sure you will come to the same conclusion I have as I’ve used him everywhere that I possibly can right now. I always over use newer champs when I get them.

    Having played with a r5 groot before, Kindred can be much worse of an attacker. Against champions with buffs he does very well, he is slightly slower than most great offensive characters, but the fact he shuts champions like Hulkling down is huge. You can always use extra hulkling counters in BGs.

    That’s a horrible argument mr guardian, the actual thing to say about Kindred having played him a lot as a max sig 6 star is that he needs to be played at low health. Suicides are not needed, he doesn’t get any benefit from them and if you play him at low hp his damage is very very good for such a defensive powerhouse. Also, don’t use sp2s… they useless, focus on throwing sp1s and don’t make the mistake of activating dread aura while nightmare outbreak is active, you’re wasting valuable power that can be used to pause the outbreak.

    Also, the people that haven’t played him really shouldn’t have opinions on him, he’s very much not the kind of champion to shine on bg offense, he shines in questing scenarios, as long as you use him at low health as intended, letting yourself get hit to counter the fantastic regen he has and keep the health low.

    I wouldn't lie to you and say Kindred is good in buff matchups if I didn't use him. My man's has very solid damage, especially if you can keep the nightmare state up. I also posted a video about using him against EoP dormammu who he is great for because of the buffs dormammu gets from throwing specials.

    But does Kindred have significantly more utility than Korg to make up for it? I don't have a Kindred to test out, but I do have Korg and have never had a situation where I would prefer using Korg on offense over someone else

    No, it is not. My rank 3 korg does more damage than my 7* Kindred. It’s been tested and can make videos if you’d like.

    No, it is not. My rank 3 korg does more damage than my 7* Kindred. It’s been tested and can make videos if you’d like.
    Make a vid, I also have Kindred at r3, so we can compare directly. Right now mine’s locked in AQm but I think I have a run saved in my gallery.

    It looks very weak, considering you have to be low health to even start ramping up mediocre damage, and considering how sustainable he is, yeah. That is very weak.

    3 minutes? And that’s with him having to be low on health to even do that. Thanks for proving my point…his “utility” isn’t worth that nobody is going to need a kindred for questing when there are many better options out there. He’s practically useless for questing and very underwhelming. The fact that you’re satisfied by that just shows you’re simping over Kindred. I could do way better then that with a korg.

    You literally took 100+ hits just to get him down that low on health and to fire more specials to try and get that hit count lowered. Yes that looks TRASHHHHH. 🤣

    330 hits at 6R1 with full synergy against the Winter Soldier. Not planning to rank up Kindred. Very disappointed by this new addition to the contest.

    At least, Immortal Hulk has a safety net for playing at low health. With revives being scarce now, Kindred doesn't look fun to play. There are much better options out there, offensively AND defensively.
