Immune to Passive Damage?

Isnt the whole point of a passive effect, to not be counted as an active buff/debuff? To bypass certain nodes/immunities?

Whats the point of making a passive effect if it cant be placed regardless?

Not really. Shock immune champions are still immune to passive Shocks.

Passive effects are usually meant to bypass non passive equivalent effects, but there's a difference between "passive" and "Passive" in this game. They can really do whatever they want to a "Passive" ability and still be within the realm of logic.

OP, since you already got the less than clever, sarcastic response, here's the more honest one.

They wanted a node that would make people use someone besides Nimrod ad the go-to mutant killer.

Since the bulk of his damage comes from the passive shocks on his sp2, they threw that node on there to keep him as a viable, but far less than ideal option.

But truth is most people just used Warlock, the OG mutant killer.

Passive damage also includes bursts of damage such as Silk's specials or Herc's feats
