New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

Ok some of you need to calm TF down with posting a thousand pictures. I wish they had limited this to 1 to 3 characters per person. Then just used likes to find the popular ones. Some people are trying to see if they can list the entire marvel roster that’s not already in the game and some that are. smh

Anyway my suggestion is Cyber. I put Cyber and Onslaught on Twitter a few months back but thankfully Onslaught is getting added. I tried to search to see if it had already been added but all I got was a tons of cyber deal posts.

Been a long time since someone’s done something like this but here’s my idea for a champion:
Champion Spotlight: Blizzard (Donald Gill)
Health: 31670
Attack: 2430
Size: M

SIGNATURE ABILITY (Therma-Frost)
Based on Temperature
• Below 65: Poison Resistance increases by +35% flat.
• Below 0: Reduce Special Attack 3 damage taken by 70%.
• At 35: Increase Coldsnap duration by +100%.

ABILITIES
Passive

• HAMMER Industries ice-powered suit has a 300% chance to absorb all Coldsnap, Shock, and Frostbite damage.
• Partially Inhuman, Blizzard has an enhanced Immune System granting 65% Resistance against Poison effects.

Temperature - Max 100 : Minimum -35
• Blizzard starts the fight with Temperature at 65. While below 65 Temperature, every 10 seconds will increase it by 10.
• Reaching 100 Temperature removes all Coldsnap effects active on the opponent.
• When inflicted with a Frostbite, Shock, or Coldsnap effect Temperature decreases by 15 every second the effect is active.
• When inflicted with an Incinerate effect Temperature can no longer be decreased and increases by 10 every second the effect is active.
• Based on how low Temperature is, gain up to 5000 Armor Rating and Energy Resistance.

Personal Coldsnap Effects
• All of Blizzard’s Coldsnap debuffs deal 607.5 Energy Damage over 10 seconds and prevent Evade from triggering.
• Coldsnaps scale with base attack and gain 3% increased potency for each Temperature under 65.
• Against Mystic opponents Personal Coldsnap damage is unaffected by their Energy Resistance.

When Struck or Striking
• When struck there is up to a 100% chance to inflict a non-stacking Unsteady debuff for 10 seconds, giving the opponent’s attack a 100% chance to Glance. Unsteady downtime and chance scales with how low Temperature is. (20s,0s)
• When an opponent’s attack Glances, Blizzard has a 100% chance to inflict a Coldsnap debuff on both champions.
• Blizzard’s Medium attacks are non-contact and inflict a Coldsnap debuff.

Heavy Attacks
• Decrease Temperature by 5. Every 0.5 seconds this attack is charged multiples Temperature decrease. (x5 cap)
• While charging passively deals 486 Coldsnap Damage every 0.5 second(s) until the second hit.
• If Permafrost is active, then also trigger a Regeneration during passive Coldsnap damage recovering 972 health every 0.5 second(s).

Permafrost
• Reaching 0 Temperature has a 3% chance per Temperature gained below 0 to trigger Permafrost for 10 seconds. On expiry reset Temperature to start.
• Temperature can no longer be increased and its bonuses are doubled.
• When inflicting Coldsnap also deals a burst of 2430 Coldsnap Damage and inflict a 15% Wither debuff lasting for Coldsnap duration.
• Gain immunity to Incinerate and reduce damage taken from Unstoppable and Unblockable hits by 75%
• Freeze passives now last 3 seconds after their Special duration.

Special Attack 1 (Freeze-Style) 4-hits
• The first hit inflicts a Freeze passive immobilizing the opponent for Special duration. Inflicting Coldsnap while the opponent is under Freeze deals a burst of 2430 Coldsnap Damage.
• The second and third hits inflict a Coldsnap debuff.
• If Permafrost is active, the final hit inflicts an indefinite Coldsnap Vulnerability passive, increasing the potency of future Coldsnap effects by 25%. Max 10.

Special Attack 2 (Frost Compression) 3-hits
• After the first hit of this attack passively deals 486 Coldsnap Damage every 0.5 second(s) until the second hit.
• Each hit of this Special Attack inflicts a Coldsnap debuff.
• If Permafrost is active, then also trigger a Regeneration during passive Coldsnap damage recovering 972 health every 0.5 second(s).

Special Attack 3 (Perma-ban)
• Activate Permafrost for 10 seconds.
• If Permafrost is already active, refresh and increase its duration by 20 seconds.
• Inflict 5 Coldsnap debuffs.

Thanos(Infinity Stones)
Class cosmic

Signature Ability
Thanos starts the quest with a random Infinity stone and he has a chance to gain a random infinity stone when he gains one that he already has.

All Stone buffs gain a chance to be automatically reapplied upon ending.

Passive
Thanos' increased physics provides immunity to poison.

All attacks have a small chance to grant either a furry, percussion, or armor up buff each lasting 6 seconds and all having a max stack of 2.

Thanos' body grants buff proficiency, anytime Thanos gains a buff he has a chance to create a copy that lasts half as long but has no max stack. This ability has a 0.5 second cooldown and cannot duplicate Stone Buffs.

Infinity Stones
Thanos starts a quest with no infinity stones but gains 1 upon winning a fight against a specific class.

Cosmic: Power Stone

Mystic: Time Stone

Science: Space Stone

Skill: Soul Stone

Mutant: Reality Stone

Tech: Mind Stone

Power Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Power Stone.

Thanos starts the fight with 1 permanent Power Stone buff per persistent charge at the start of each fight after gaining the stone.

The Power Stone buffs grant all buffs, other than Stone Buffs, increased potency and all of Thanos’ attacks deal a burst of energy damage.

If this buff is removed for any reason it is reapplied after 7 seconds.

Time Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Time Stone.

Thanos gains 1 Time Stone buff lasting 7 seconds anytime the opponent deals over 7% of Thanos max hp with a single attack, max stacks 1.

The Time Stone buff heals Thanos by 65% of health lost while it was active additionally Thanos cannot die as long as the buff is active.

Space Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Space Stone.

Thanos gains 1 Space Stone buff lasting 4 seconds anytime Thanos dodges back before ending a combo, max 3.

Each Space Stone buff increases the duration of all future buffs by 12% and they are paused during Thanos and the opponent's special attacks. This does not affect Stone buff duration

Soul Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Soul Stone.

Thanos starts the fight with 5 permanent Soul Stone buffs at the start of each fight after gaining the stone.

Being struck by the opponent consumes 1 Soul Stone buff instead of dealing damage(being hit by a special removes all soul stone buffs but causes it to deal no damage, special 3 damage cannot be prevented and still removes the soul stone buffs.), when all Soul Stone buffs are lost they go into cooldown for 12 seconds and then 5 new Soul Stone buffs are applied.

Reality Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Reality Stone.

Anytime that one of Thanos abilities fail to trigger gain 1 permanent Reality Stone buff, max 5.

Each Reality Stone buff increases Thanos offensive ability accuracy by 5% and decreases the opponents by the same amount.

Mind Stone
Gain 1 persistent charge upon gaining the Mind Stone.

Thanos gains 1 Mind Stone buff lasting 10 seconds anytime the either champion activates a special attack, max stacks 1.

The Mind Stone Buff increases Thanos power gain by 15% and grants Thanos 1 bar of power over the duration of the buff.

When defending
As a defender Thanos gains 2 random Stone buffs and gains 1 random Stone when he would gain a Stone he already has.

Special 1
Gain 1 cruelty buff increasing critical rating for 8 seconds, max 2.

Special 2
Gain a duplicate of all non-Stone buffs. Additionally gain a true strike buff lasting 2 seconds per unique non-Stone buff.

Special 3
Deal a burst of energy damage per unique buff including Stone buffs.

Additionally if Thanos has all six stones this attack instantly finishes an opponent whose health is at 10% or less at the end of this attack.
