Kabam? Ascension should be more than just a gimmick of "20% permanent champion boost."

If all Ascension is doing just a normal 20% boost then it's kinda let down, in theory and realistically all these stats should be getting 20% Ascending as well (0 will remain 0 ofc, simple maths)



7*r3 are coming, maybe this cyber deal or 100% this Christmas/banquet deals along their base stats insanely bumped up, so why not Ascend the base stats as well of 6*? The hype of Ascension was so good only for it to fall flat as in "20% perma champion boost." Think about it, after the relics failed despite massive promotion, don't let Ascension turn into another L.


TLDR:- 6* should get their stats 20% bump instead of just attack and hp.

It's to give Champs a little extra viability. Raising 6* Champs base stats via ascension would make 7* useless, since the 6* would have comparable stats.

    A ~24% permanent boost is massive. That is the equivalent of a whole rank up, and in terms of 6* that’s pretty much 1.5 rank ups so o don’t really see the complaints.

    6* are never going to be as powerful as 7* so going down that avenue is always going to lead to disappointment. A 24% boost is going to keep your top tier 6* relevant for long enough to get a well developed 7* roster, so I’m not really sure what more you need.

    I disagree, the 20% boost is just right imo

    It's a nice boost to pre-existing champs but still gives you a reason to chase 7*s
    It's there to make the transition smoother between 6*s and 7*s, and it'll do that just fine

    That's literally the same thing. You want r5s to still be able to compete with r3 7 stars with the use of stat buffs instead of just attack and hp. Plus your whole argument falls flat until we actually have r3s in the game, you're complaining about hypotheticals currently.

    It's a nice bonus to extend the useful life of some of our older champs. It would be even nicer if it also increased Challenger Rating. That works have a myriad of subtle and not game-breaking interactions.

    That's one of the things that marks 7* champs as special - their huge CR.

    One thing I would say: thank you to the design team for having separate resources for 4*+5*/6* Ascension. There are some 5* champs I think I'll use it on, and I'm happy that this won't impact on 6* Ascensions.

    One could make a case for Champs that are sitting in a roster at 200 sig 5* vs unawakened or low sig 6*.

    Wow what a complaint. First it’s not even released yet. Can’t anyone wait to see what it’s going to be like before complaining? Secondly, Kabam actually did something that helps the player base instead of hurting it and you still complain. Kabam didn’t have to do ascension at all. Honestly ascension might even hurt their 7* business model. Why go for 7* Vox or Gladiator when you can just ascend 6* Herc for free? At the end of the day, they are still making 6* viable and competitive with 7* if you expected stat focus or other enhanced abilities, you definitely did expect too much.

    Ascension

    Perks of 7-star:
    Fewer catalysts needed overall

    isnt Ascension just a health and Attack boost ? , like having a permanent Champ boost active. Would had been better to increase all stats to that, like crit , armor rating etc

    The purpose of Ascension is to ease the transition to 7*s, and extent the use of 6*s somewhat. A Max 6* that's ascended will be on par with just under a 7* R3. It's not a complete graduation of Rarities. You don't want it any more powerful than that.

    I completely agree with the OP. So basically ascension is like placing a 20% green boost (health and attack). The great caveat here is you don’t know how many times you could ascend a champion. I’m sure in 6-12 months we will see Kabam come up with Level 2 ascension. Everything is possible guys.

    LOL, there's always that one guy . . .

    For doing practically nothing, you can make a 6sr5 champ the equivalent of a 7sr3 (level 1). Champs that will take forever to get into the 7s pool, and then even longer to get into your deck, will benefit mightily form ascension.

    This is a great addition by Kabam, yet the tears flow. Predictable.
