Ascension doesn't increase the timer in Labyrinth

Why does ascension not increase the Labyrinth timer? I ascend my 4* Star-Lord for the Carina's challenge. The Labyrinth Node says that timer depends on how strong your champion is, but it ignoges ascension at all...
There you can see that fight duration is the same:

Because ascension doesn’t affect the CR (challenge rating) of the champion which is what the timer is based on. It only boosts attack and health.

U need the base attack at 2k 4s cant still hit 2k even if ascended he would be at 1700 meaning he still wont get the extended timer till they introduce more levels of ascensions if they do that is for now

I did these 3 and all 3 dont even come close to 2k but the attack boost might help all 3 of them as i tested these 3 already and they did some nice damage to red hulk
