Kitty R5 or Sunspot R2

I got enough for both and my main focus is Battlegrounds, also I think next progression based title will consider 7* only. So what's the better pick here? Sunspot is duped 7*

Personally, I have the same situation and I will probably rank up Sunspot, primarily for bgs
So, if you are not running suicide masteries, I recommend sunspot

I can't imagine the next progression being for 7 star R2s at the way they're blasting through the 7 star life cycle.

My guess is 7 star R3s but your point still kinda stands because you need to hit R2 first anyway.

Personally I'm saving all my t6cc for R2ing 7 stars and hoping 4-5 gems because more common.
