Next r5 for BGs? Tough Decision

It was so much easier when KP was at r4 since he was the clear cut best choice, but now im not so sure.

They should all get r4 eventually I picked Doom but it’s honestly more about what your deck needs as they all hold great value.

I’m surprised so many people are voting for doom because I never use him in battlegrounds. When I need a good counter to something, Rintrah, Tigra, Hood, Juggs, and AM always come in clutch and finish fights super fast. I’ve faced a lot of high tier battlegrounds players and whenever they draft him, he’s always a defensive pick. He’s the number one mystic everywhere else, but honestly I don’t see him being the best battlegrounds choice at all

Yeah to tell you the truth, i dont see the hype behind Doom in BGs. Sure he needs the attack boost more than someone like Abs Man who’s already broken at r4 but hes just not good for most of the annoying cosmics. And has a lot of counters for him on defense. Surely Rintrah should have more votes than him

With health being A important factor in deciding bg points. Doom is relevant now, because most doon counters cannot finish him in like near 100% health.. he is a great staller and definitely do a lot of damage on defense... You will never regret ranking him

@captain_rogers thats a good point since doom has high block penetration, but if i was looking for purely a defender i could also just r2 my maw who basically always gets me a win (even when they use torch, which is just crazy)

Doom is a good attacker too with high health, and now time is less important factor in bg attack, you can use him as attacker too! My r4 doom is almost always banned.. Never underestimate him.

Doom has always been relevant, but the problem is that there aren’t many matchups where I’d take him over other mystics in battlegrounds. Most cosmics in the game rn are built around doom, so you’re better off with someone else for Hulkling, Sersi, etc. The other champs finish fights with high health and super quick (Hood, Tigra, and AM especially), and doom has heavy reliance on his special 3. Even then, there aren’t many matchups outside of the cosmic class where he’d be great in battlegrounds.

Great defender though, I agree with that. Even if your opponent gets a good science, he can trip them up with a special (unless you’re using silk). He’ll always be the top mystic in story content and other areas, but I just don’t see him as a top mystic for battlegrounds. He’s still good and very useful, but just not the top option imo.

Currently want 4 more r4s and can do 2 r5s.

I can't seem to move forward cuz of "BUTs" and "What Ifs"

In your case valk or rintrah.
Valk sig 200 will be a better investment
and moo is just a moofrooking tank.

I always ban rintrah on defense, so he is a wise choice... Cuz Nick in defense, people often take him to low health and prevent him from entering decoy. So rintrah would be great

The issue with Rintrah is as you continue duping him, he becomes less of a viable option on attack (though a much better defensive option). Thats why im thinking leavinf him at r4 and focusing on the others.

Valk is amazing but Fury has the dual threat (though a much worse attacker than Valk) and she’s basically no value on defense.
