Skipping battle grounds for that last 20 dust

BabyGrootBabyGroot Member Posts: 196 ★★
I'm debating skipping the last 20 dust. I personally don't like battle grounds. I think it takes too much time to get through one match. To get the dust it takes minimum 32 matches assuming you win 5 in a row and then win 10 in a row. That means using 480 energy if you use energy for each match. My thinking is that it'd be better to spend that time and energy in quest and arena to get units for cyber weekend. Any thoughts on this? Should I just make myself do battle grounds for the dust instead?

Why wouldn't you want to ascend your 6r5?

To be fair, it's not exactly needed lol I think the only place where you'll be noticing a difference/actually needing it, is in BGs. We don't exactly need r5s either, everything can be pretty much done with 5* still. I get where he's coming from, if you don't enjoy BGs then don't bother OP if you play it anyway then you might as well

Just do whatever you want not really a complex decision, either get a ascended champ or dont

If you just do the 48hr objective for the trophy tokens, you'll most-likely hit this objective fairly quickly with relative ease...

For the complete matches, you can just join and click through stuff and just let yourself die. On those complete 10 matches, I joined with a deck of 3*s and just did matches while doing something else so I could spend minimum thought process on it. Made the objectives much more manageable for me.

In addition to the other advice given you also don't have to do it all right away. Space it out over the course of the event. Things should be easier the longer the season goes on and people move up.

Also, since I started in Plat 1 by the time I got to Diamond 1 almost every opponent was 4-5 mil+, I just started using energy and quitting out of the roster was too jacked. Found some closer to mine or only slightly higher and played those out for the 10 wins.

I can’t blame you at all. It was the slog to end all slogs but I made it through. However, the price paid is that I absolutely detest BGs as a game mode more than I did before and will revert to 3 matches every two days. At least until Kabam decides that you need to play the game mode they want you to play and changes the solo objectives on a whim.

But if you can suffer through, it’s worth it. The 30k of Hercules sitting on my roster says so.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've been doing the statagy mentioned above of staying in a low tier and take intentional losses. In a more relaxed way now with the mindset of if I don't get it then it's alright because I'll get some next month or so.

I have a pretty decent roster now with a buncha 6*r4's and a handful or 7*r1's so I'm a lot more competitive in BGs now. So winning comes easier and I don't mind going for these milestones without tanking a buncha matches..

This thread has disappointment written all over it.
They never said dust will be available next month, i wouldn't let the opportunity go just in case.

Not sure your state of progression in the game, but I started this season in Silver 3 and got all my objectives and I’m currently in Diamond 2.

I was going to do it regardless, since I want the BGs tokens, but it wasn’t as bad as it seems, for me at least.

Hell, I just did the ‘win 10 matches’ final objective earlier this morning, and 8/10 of those, they forfeit right away, so it took me next to no time to get the last 2 wins in.

    EDIT: S3, not S1

I don't do BGs regularly, but I was able to complete the objective without much issue. The matches you are given are sometimes good as some people will "throw" matches when they don't need to win.
