I think it will be fun. I remember Superior Kang being a cool fight. I can already think of good alternatives in 7* roster. Did some trial runs now and looks good to me. I think Morbius will also work well for Sup Kang.
Update the abyss rewards and add sth like the keys in the gauntlet so the others that have exlpore it can take another shot at it? I have not complete it because of the small rewards(carina challenges as well), so a rewards boost and keys to do it again can be the answer there?
Whys that then? 7* are as good as, if not better, than r4s when at r1/25, I did a lot of act 7 with r5 5* and r2 6*s so a 7* is a huge step up. I'll still be r5ing 6*s
I understand that we should make all 24 chapters in order but can we do them spaced in time? Like today 7.1.1, tomorrow monthly quest, next week 7.1.2? It would be good if there is some guiding objective that keeps your progress tracked so no one skips one by mistake.
Can we use the Choice node to switch one 7-star for another 7-star?

Kabam has stated a few times that the purpose of story content isn't to be difficult. A way to increase the difficulty without adjusting the content would be to add some objectives. It's the easiest way to keep the difficulty level on par with what they want while appealing to the end game players.
Let's get these objectives tied into story mode. It wouldn't require the resource drain that Variants probably caused (having to think about node redesign and all of that). So many possibilities all tied into some objectives.

flare has to be the best choice in first quest imo
I’ve gone Flare in 7.1.1 with the Yondu boss (Black Cat), Encroaching Stun in 7.1.2 with Venom boss (Chavez) and Blaze in 7.1.3 with Aarkus boss (mostly Chavez).
Blaze was a mistake, and forced me to throw a few heals in to top off health. But you can get a couple of fights in easily before losing a champ.
Loved this Challenge as something fresh and innovative!! Reward I understand why it wasn't upto the mark but it's Ok it really felt good doing this! So I would like to request Kabam for more such challenges with somewhat better rewards including some catalysts as well! But please do not keep Rank 2 necessities as that's not the easiest thing to have other than one or two of them.
