Is 7* G2009 worth to be R2?

Pulled this lady last week and I didn’t play her too often before (I only have 5R1 G2099 before)

I know she is a ramp-up champ and typically fits for long fight.

But is she really a trash in a short fight?

Need some advices. THX!

She can be solid for short fights with the crit prefight plus my 7 star guilly which is still r2 also does amazing on defense most of the time in BGs

It's your choice first and foremost, but if you ask me, I don't think she's the best r2 choice rn. Her base dmg ain't great, but she hits like a truck after 100 hits (or if you ended the previous fight with an sp2).

The problem I've had with the 7* is that her dmg is a bit low for the first fight, but then she supercharges for the next fight. Her dmg skyrockets, in fact, she does too much dmg (she does not get to an sp3 before killing the opponent). Therefore, she's back to being a bit meh the next fight. Taking her to r2 will only further exacerbate this problem. She will only keep her momentum going in content with bigger healthpools (story, abyss, lol, etc). Even then, with new nodes and newer champs available, she is not among the top options anymore imo.

Plus, she can lose the 100+ hit combo if you even get clipped once (ik she has combo shield, but realistically, if the ai hits you, its going for the full combo innit). There are better champs to invest r2 mats in the tech class, is all I'm saying.

You’re right….I tried her today and her second fight (started with 100 hit combo) was (unexpectedly) impressive….and the damage was too high and I finished the fight before firing SP3😂😂😂

Then the Third fight was back to the ground😑

She has good power control unless they are immune to power drain.

The only other 7* tech champ in my roster is Howard, so I am not sure who to rank up…

She is kinda better at R1)?
I have her and she barely gets to the SP3 the second fight

I mainly took her to R2 for defensive purposes

I wouldn't recommend r2ing her. When i got my 7 star there was a few areas in the game i hadnt completed which i was planning on doing including abyss and lab (which is mainly where you're going to use her). At r1 she made both a piece of cake and also somehow fun. Id say shes a cool champ but not worth r2ing.

I used to be a big supporter that G2099 is a top tech champion, but after not using her in anything for the past year, I don't think she is worth taking to R2.

Other Tech champs can do what she does in short fights. Not crit'ing used to be unique but now a ton of champions have it. Power drain immunity and Miss counters are more and more common. Newer tech champions can be immune to armor break or nullify, while G2099 is countered by both.

In long fights, Shuri seems like she can be a good substitute for what G2099 does while having some useful utilities (like Shuri can handle some mystics that G2099 cannot).

If you need G2099 for something (needing her huge damage after 100 hit combo), she still does that ably as a R1. Frankly, my 6-star R3 G2099 can do what I need her to do at 100 hit combo if needed.
