Battlegrounds liquidity idea

Implement so form of roster rarity restriction e.g. only 2 stars or 3 stars.
There are frequent complaints about being matched against massive accounts.
With restrictions a new level 55 summoner will have equal footing (ignoring skill) against the Bero, kt1 or the biggest account out there. This make match making completely a non issue.
It would be like Weight divisions in sports. At some point there’s the heavy weight with no restrictions.
This also gives ranking 2, 3, 4 and 5 star relevance again.
Imagine a humorous case of a veteran whales scrambling to rank their 3 stars they forgot about. 🤣
The player base is already voluntary doing this with friendly matches.
The game is nearly setup for this now.

    How would this be bad?
    What don’t you like about?
Should skill be more important than who roster size?

Also it doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive.
You could normal BGs and have restrictive BG for those that test skill rather than how much you spend or how long you played the game.

You sound like someone who has been getting beaten by some good large accounts.
I’ll say it again. Spending and having large accounts should give people an advantage. Otherwise, why play?

Actually I’m a spender, paragon and on the gladiator circuit nearly 2 weeks ago. LOL
Search my handle in game “Asmondena” I have Jacked account.
I want everyone to be able to participate and I am skilled enough to win equal matches.

So you want uncollected players to be on the same level as paragons deck wise? How does that make sense? Shouldn’t people who pay and play have an advantage?

Again, this doesn’t need to be either/or but both 🙂
Traditional BG as it is now and… restricted BG for newer accounts to be able and participate in the mode immediately. I know far too many players that don’t go near BG because it is depressing and discouraging. A giant ape shows up, kicks them in face and then gives a mocking emoji before leaving.
And I don’t need to hide behind my account, I am actually okay in a fair fight.
Read the meta, fill out my deck appropriately, draft smart, champ knowledge, dex and evade most specials…

Bgs is a pvp gamemode. It’s for all players over uncollected. Once lower level players rise in the ranks and eventually hit the gc, they are going to run into high level accounts, that’s how the funnel works. What you’re suggesting would completely undermine the work that the larger players have put into their rosters.
Do smaller players get unfair matchups? Yes. But is it inevitable, also yes.
As a side note. 99% of the time a paragon will beat a uncollected even if they have the same roster, so your theory wouldn’t help make things more fair

Player vs player. If uncollected players cannot go above platinum then it's because they have hit their account ceiling, continue doing 48h objectives and push story content already, that grandmaster and Kang can't hurt you, that much.
