Gotta love Icarus (sarcasm)

Hey I’m stuck on 7.2.6 and I have very little options for it. One is sending a 6* generic gem into cmm tho idk if it’s worth for just this quest (I don’t really like her playstyle). Another is ranking killmonger since I have void and I heard his synergy with him destroys Icarus. That would be the better option but idk if he needs to be awakened to make it work against Icarus. Lastly is wait for a cmm dupe or non-awakened Icarus counter from crystals. Thoughts?

    Adds one fury to the attacker every landed hit or parry on the defender. If the fury’s expire for any reason or you exceed 8 fury’s place a degen on attacker equal to defenders attack. Landing a heavy resets the fury’s

    -_-. Yeah I dint think u know how annoying Icarus gets, especially in 7.2.6. But hey, I guess I’ll go take 20min per fight and use infinite revives per run :)

    Come on, why not do that? Sometimes u have to adapt ur playstyle to the node, like in 6.1.1-No retreat...
    Use champs that want to use heavies a lot like Archangel, or that can do heavies easily like Doom Wasp Chavez...
    U can also use buff immune champs, or Mister negative and actually heal from the degans as long as he's duped with 3 debuffs on the opponent... see? A lot of options

    Ye I got champs that want to use heavies, Herc apoc idoom ect, but considering massive hp of the fights and other nodes on them it becomes a mess. That’s why for 7.2.6 you want Icarus counters since you really need to be gearing up for Gwen master the whole quest

    Keep in mind that you have the Buff Synthesis - Fury/Precision node that automatically removes fury buffs and convert them into prowess (which you need in order to deal any damage) whenever you gain a precision buff. So if you go at it slow and dex a lot, you can control how many fury buffs you have on you at any one time. Since the precision buff disappear along with the fury one when they synthesize, you can dex several attacks in a row without touching the opponent in order to clear multiple fury buffs (or alternate dexing and parrying/hitting the opponent in order to build up prowess).

    In fact, you better not forget that the node is there since that'll be the way you deal damage to the opponent since anything other than special attack damage (with prowess active) will be heavily penalized. Unless you bring someone who already has prowess, you'll need to convert the fury buffs you gain from Icarus into prowess in order to advance at all.

    That said, I did a little test run of the path and while it admittedly did take a little getting used to the node, there's nothing that I can see that actually prevents you from simply using heavy attacks to remove the fury buffs safely if they are close to expire (or if you end up with too many of them). Just take it slow. A five-hit combo, parry, and heavy should do the trick as long as you do the occasional dex with a fury buff active in order to convert it to prowess. I don't think you need a "counter" as such. Any champion should be able to clear the path. What I would recommend is someone who can launch massive specials and don't rely on damage through other means, so that you can take full advantage of the prowess buffs you gain.

    Chavez works wonders for the path, her sp2 in blue heals you back to full with enough buff synthesis prowess.

    Also, if you don't have the roster just take a different path

    Icarus is a piece of cake if you have an Angela even a 5* will do, hell if you're skilled enough you can take an ascended 4* Angela and absolutely cheese Icarus
    She just needs to be high sig
