Why is matchmaking bad after plat 2

This just unfair like im a legit new player and my account is cav with around 500k base hero rating. Im getting matched with people who have multiple 6* r3, r4, r5 and 7 stars. I have 2 5* r5 and 4 6* r2 like wth

*To be specific, I don't believe Kabam is using them as bait. It ends up being that way when they are used for Tanking.
In any case, there is no perfect system. In this instance I believe the OP will have to adjust.

Why should a few month's old UC account have the same odds to progress through VT, as a several years thousands of $ Paragon account?
What's the point of playing or paying to progress an account, if that's the case?

Yeah, absolutely agree. As Kabam says it‘s a mode to „find the best-of-the-best Summoner“ and OP obviously isn‘t. That’s like expecting to become AW Rank 1 Master with your new account - NOT GONNA HAPPEN
