Forfeiting in Battlegrounds

Quick question: If someone forfeits in Battleground, does it still count towards „completion“ of a match?

I have a surprising amount of opponents forfeiting on me, and I wonder why they won‘t simply do the match, maybe they would win? And even if not, they would at least get points for the solo objectives…

Unless, of course, a forfeited match still counts as completed…

    Still strange, it‘s typically the weaker accounts that I am matched against… It‘s never the beefy ones that end up destroying me… unfortunately… :lol:

    Forfeiting in and of itself isn't the issue. Just like opening a Side Quest isn't an issue.
    Spamming a bugged Side Quest and exploiting it is. Just like using the Forfeit to manipulate the Matches for Solo Milestones is exploitative.
    The issue isn't using Forfeit. It's the Players that are using it to camp for Points. Kabam mentioned that they will be monitoring it and possible bans are up for grabs.

    Bruh I’ve done that so many times 😭 but I win more than I lose so kinda makes up for it? Still lost points though

    I've been seeing guys who just join the match and leave their screen on, they lose but also waste a lot of time. Idk how that behaviour will be caught.

    Or, they forfeit because they're a smaller roster that's been accelerated into Platinum 1-2, and they're facing an account hugely stronger.

    Hopefully Kabam develops an algorithm that recognises that that's an appropriate use of the forfeit option.

    I’ve encountered it as well. It should be pretty easy for Kabam to look at the people who constantly have 10 second matches and always lose without throwing a punch, defender at 100%. Only when using energy as well.

    I'm assuming if you forfeit 50% of your matches, they can see a pattern. I can't see how they can tell if someone is losing on purpose if they actually finish the match. I have gone on long losing streaks but trying to win so am I going to look suspicious cause my skill level average to below average. I would be upset if they think I'm losing on purpose due to a losing streak.

    I tell you what I'm sitting back reading learning a lot 🤔😁. I never forfeited a match don't ever know how the button looks.I dont do BG as much as I like cause you have to commit and invest the time. Im here cause it are those times where something came up and your attention is forfeited. Right.

    If you lose every match you play with energy, a pattern may emerge. If you never play with elder marks when you have 2 wins in plat2 but always do when you have 0 wins in plat2, a pattern may emerge.

    If they die without throwing a single punch I think it'll be pretty obvious, if they actually do some of the fight but still lose on purpose then yeah I don't know how they'll be able to catch the people doing it unless they actually watch the whole fight. If some folks are doing that thought it's fine, imagine how time consuming that must be lol at that point you're better off just playing normally and losing matches here and there (not on purpose of course)

    In the end, people who give up on the game don't hurt anyone, I often give up when I get a big sequence of players who are absurdly stronger than me.

    Kabam should take a better look at the matchmaking mechanism to make it fair for everyone, both beginners and average players, and veterans too

    The truth is that this new hut system will be useful for celestial levels where players go on a huge losing streak using energy and then win again using elder marks.

    Now if you just give up for the sake of giving up, for example every 10 matches you give up two, that won't change anything because it won't be affecting anyone directly.

    That's exactly why the quit button exists, kabam won't ban anyone who does this normally, it will do this to anyone who gives up on 50 matches in a row, as already happens

    They removed the Rewards. In some cases, they couldn't round off Shards so they replaced Crystals. That was not an excuse to cheat.

    I have not, however I also haven't forgotten how they handled bots in arena and using alt accounts for free points in BGs, have you? Cause as far as I know all the people who engaged in this type of behavior were banned without exceptions. So yeah, while Kabam has indeed been screwing up pretty bad with the bugs and exploits, when it comes to cheating, it's a different story.
