Will AEgon be relevant in the new Everest Necropolis content?

Just wondering what the MCOC community thinks about AEgon’s relevance for the new Everest Necropolis content?

Is he worthwhile these days?

Anyone ranking their 6-Star these days?

From the limited amount I've heard, my guess is that he won't be relevant (or as relevant as he was for other Everest content) since they keep saying it's a roster check with specific counters. However, with that being said, he does do so, so much when he's fully ramped that I'm taking mine to r4 just in case on the next level up event.

He will always be relevant when it’s all long fights. He’s just a great fit for it. Sure there are other candidate, but Aegon has more in his kit.

Max 6 stars will have 60 seconds less than rank 2 7*s in the fights so highly unlikely he will be worth bringing in. I doubt Aegon will be coming as a 7* anytime soon

3rd november livestream and I think I remember middle of november release date so probably the 15th or 22nd.

With ~14 fights I'm guessing that a ramped up Aegon will do better than most 7* champs even with the lower fight time.

I think it would be pretty surprising if they found a way (outside of combo manipulation) to make him irrelevant with 14 fight paths and 7 million health each (or whatever it'll average out at).

Will he be the "best" for any particular fight? Who knows. Will be be a competitive option for a single spot on your team? Pretty likely.

Am I frustrated that I have 200+ 6*s and have yet to pull Aegon? Inconceivably.

Most of Aegon's utilities won't be helpful (no evade to worry about, non-Science defenders are AAR immune), and Namor's node requiring debuffs or being unable to counter anything in Attuma's kit, limits his usefulness.

But if the strategy is "do the most damage before you get KO and repeat", then a 1000 combo Aegon will always have a place. He probably won't cover as many defenders as before.

My gut tells me I should at least R4 my duped AEgon just in case…probably folly but maybe he will have some relevance…

I agree with most of the comments here. Basically he won't be quite as OP as he has been in the past but Kabam are going to find it pretty tough to make him not one of the top options even at a 6 star level. That's just down to how strong his kit is. I will r5 my aegon if he looks to be good for it when necropolis comes out.

How many revives did it take him? Technically you can do the content with a lot of champs, so that doesnt mean aegon works well

There was no counter, but he took a decent amount of revives just to ramp him to 999. Honestly seems like he’s great once you get there for a lot of fights, but it’s pretty boring and I’m preferring Kate and Zemo rn

i think aegon is the easiest option if you want to unit man through every fight, but someone like shuri as a 7 star rank 2 can do most fight aegon can with less revives
