BG matchmaking

I know this is probably the millionth post about this, but the BG matchmaking sucks. I just became Cavalier a couple weeks ago, and have been doing BGs for a bit. Managed to climb my way up to Plat 1 somehow after being put up against quite easy matchups with the occasional loss. Now I can’t get absolutely anywhere as every player I match with is a Paragon or Thronebreaker player with 6* r4s and r5s (I have 5 r2 6*s and 2 r5 5*s btw) Anyone have similar issues?

You've hit the natural roadblock.

Up to platinum 2 you are shielded by matchmaking, Kabam will only match you against similar prestige accounts. As soon as you reach platinum 2, matchmaking stops, and you will match against anyone regardless of how much higher their account is.

I have the same problem just not as drastically. I’m a low tier paragon in vibranium, and I’m matching accounts with triple my account size regularly. Either you play around it, or wait for the competition to die down towards the end of the season. Just how it is.

This season on average I face accounts with 7.5% higher prestige than me with a total account rating 150% of mine. My point being that even when you become a Paragon, there will still be many hard matches ahead of you. It might not feel good at the moment, but I have actually improved my skills by facing accounts twice my strength. Focus on growing your account right now and try to find ways these matches can help you learn new skills

I'm on the other end, ridiculous matchmaking against guys with tons of 7* and 7r2, but never see the other end. So I fight through Silver and Gold. It needs to go to full tier based.

It's like having hidden tiers within the tiers. So hope you enjoyed the easy path to plat 2, but you're not getting any sympathy from us who have ONLY these matchups from day 1.

You expect to reach vibranium with a filthy Cavalier tag?
I'd advise you to try rank push during last 2-3 days, that time many whales have already reached GC for their rewards.
You might be able to win then.
