Yes, worst design choice in the game period, just total laziness by the devs - spend years teaching muscle memory and the basic mechanics of the game only for them to destroy it. Reverse controls should never have been part of the game.

And yeah, I will probably bring an immune champ and suffer the degen and revive.

Plus there's the global node as well, so you'll be rooted during his specials and he'll be unblockable later on... Very unkind

If it's actually taking just 1% health/s then that's probably an acceptable trade-off for the immunity.

I don't know about you, but I guarantee that I'll be taking a lot more damage than 1% health/s, if I'm actually trying to fight using Reverse Controls 🤷‍♂️.

I don't know about you, but I guarantee that I'll be taking a lot more damage than 1% health/s, if I'm actually trying to fight using Reverse Controls 🤷‍♂️.

I hope so. If these leaks are true then they are indeed trying to make Everest content harder but with less bs mechanics that you can't prevent and are extremely punishing such as the random unstoppable in previous Everest content so yeah I assume he won't have that stupid node with the timer but we'll see. Wouldn't be surprised if he has it too though.

If you do that you will probably die before you can even wound him and deal any damage.

My advice, practice with Act 6 GM first. That's what I'm going to do for a couple of months, at least until I can one shot or kill him with zero revives. Currently I can one shot with Juggs easily but since that won't be an option I'll have to first get used to every animation he has with the reversed controls before I even attempt Necropolis GM. I'm sure he won't be as hard if you do this, he'll be hard for sure but not 30k units per run hard.
Also, while I'm busy doing this, I'm sure top players will start uploading videos with best counters, strategies etc I'll get my r5s and ascensions ready as well as my units and my potions, then I'll go for it.

I can one-shot the act 6 grandmaster but the necropolis boss reads much much harder and I doubt I'll have anywhere near such an easy time on nameless grandmaster. I am fine with the reversed controls as they are constantly on during the timer, but in necropolis it keeps inverting and reverting every single action you take which sounds so much harder. I'm a pretty solid player and was able to explore abyss in about 1000 units worth of revives (I'm no MSD or Swedeah lol but not too bad) and honestly I think Ill spend more on this guy than the collector getting the fight down as I mostly play off muscle memory as opposed to actively thinking about every action which is what will be needed. If I can spend 2-3k units per path I'll be very happy.

I think people are just terrified right now because there's a lot of stuff in his kit and the phases look extremely hard on paper but once people go in, practice and get used to the mechanics that fear will go away along with the massive unit spending. Yes, this fight will definitely be harder than Abyss Collector but not because of bs mechanics, it'll be harder because of the amount of skill required.
Just by reading the abilities you can see that every single one of them can be countered if you're skilled enough and have good muscle memory, there's no random bs unlike Abyss Collector. I think with enough patience and a lot of practice, this fight will be less frustrating and punishing than Abyss Collector for sure.
And yes, you will have to do multiple runs before actually going in for the kill if you don't want to spend a **** ton of units which is precisely what I plan on doing, even if it takes me four months to do so lol I'm no MSD either but I refuse to spend 10k units on a single run.
