I’m Considering Holding Off on R2’ing Shuri

Objectively I think she’s the best tech 7 star, a ton of utility and real nice damage. The issue is not her.

It’s just the fact that compared to other classes, Tech is kind of struggling in rank 2 worthy 7 stars.

If I ended up getting a tech r2 gem from say 8.4 exploration or Cyber Monday, then I don’t see any attacker from the 7* tech pool that i would really want in my BGs deck.

Sure rocket is a nuke, but I barely even see him ran in decks. I’d probably go with either Mysterio or duped IMIW for defence.

Note, I’m not saying the tech champs are bad per say , just that if I had the choice of using the t6cc to r5 FAM or Nimrod, I think that easily triumphs r2ing a tech champ that isnt Shuri

I have been sitting on my T6 materials as well. I'm in a different boat as I have Mysterio and Shuri both at r2 already, but I was fortunate enough to pull an r5 gem to bring up FAM so I didn't have to make that choice. As much as I want to rank up some of the original 7* champs, I'd like to pull a newer one and invest in them for the rankup.

Beauty of the game is that although it's a tough choice, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

Dont sleep on Mysterio offensively. He's clutched up a few times for me in bgs and the 7 for 7 challenge. His damage gets nutty

Shuri is amazing at r2. If I understand, you want to r2 her but want to see if you get a tech gem first because she's the only tech you would rank up? Makes sense. Although I think Warlock would be a good r2.

I'd like to R2 mine. But the only thing really holding me back is I want my primary 7* ranks to be those w good prestige as well.

Yeah, if you get an r2 tech gem you may end up holding onto it - but it's not like it will expire and there are plenty of tech options in the current pool that are class gem worthy: Warlock, Guardian, G99, Mysterio, Iron Man.

I get your desire to use the materials on R5ing someone who isn't yet available as a 7*. I debated that a bit as well, but ultimately decided to use raw materials on 7* and only R5 champions with gems. 7* are the future and while I get the materials in good numbers, I'm happier investing in the future - leaving plenty of 6* at R3 and R4 so I can bring my 7* roster to R2.

I just got a 6* Shuri but don't want to rank her all the way since she's available as a 7*. I also have an unduped Omega that I just got. Should I focus on Mysterio over them?

Shuri is definitely better but if they're all 6 stars then probably Omega is your best bet if you don't want to rank shuri

As 6 stars, rank up who will help you clear content the most. That will help you get shards/crystals so you can get the champs you want. Omega has the most utility out of the three. Mysterio is a nuke after 1 SP3. Shuri is great at the longer fights. All have their uses, but pick the one you like/use the most.

@Darkness275 Believe me, I’m one of the biggest advocates on using t6cc on 7 stars and r5 gems for 6 stars. I still have my Hulkling and Kingpin at r4 the two best champs of their respective class in BGs. I could just see there being more 6 star tech champs worth r5 than there are 7 star techs worth r2. Warlock I probably would, Mysterio, I’d have to sit on it

my r2 mysterio is a beast ngl, once un play around his sp3, damage and poison damage are doing very well

well he's not decay and not immune bleed / shock so there is no point in bringing him in attack but he makes a goof sugar pill defender, he's a good attacker for future bg if nodes allow it but also in other content

These are the best I have of a not well played winter soldier fight. Once you drop the sp3 the frenzy gas boosts his attack rating by like 11350 at 7 star rank 1 which also boosts his poison dps

@MiniMF is right, though; he's not great for this meta, so I haven't used him this season. I'm also running recoils in those screenshots so it's inflating the attack a bit.
