How does Zemo work ?

CytaCyta Member Posts: 101
So, I did a fight with my Kingpin against him in BGs, in gc. I never used parry, heavy, specials and so on, was just doing basic hits, intercepting and all that dance ...from all my purifies, he got lots of fury buffs, just as expected. What i didnt expect tho, was to melt from full hp to 0 in 2 seconds when i was attacking him and got few debuffs on me.

Whenever the Opponent Purifies a Debuff or is Immune to an effect, Zemo gains a Fury Buff increasing the Attack Rating of his next hit by XXX

In my mind, that huge attack rating should have never have an effect on those debuffs. He hits me or my block, he gets the megabonus, and then its done. But apparently all those debuffs took advantage of the fury buffs? Is that fair or is it a bug?

I dont have much experience with him, so i said I`d ask here before posting in the bug section.

Perhaps your Kingpin didn't purify all the hazard-shift debuffs. There is a cool down period for purification. Also I believe Kingpin only has a 60% chance to purify. Outside of BG players use Hood synergy to increase Kingpin's purification percentage.

This has always been the case. Modifying the defenders attack will modify the damage from the debuffs, since their values are tied to the defenders attack

It has nothing to do with purification %. I melted from full hp to 0 in less than 2 seconds, i didnt even got the time to pause and see whats going on.

While your statement is true, Zemo`s description states that he doesnt get an attack bonus, his next hit does. So all that bonus should be dormant, activate on his next hit, and vanish. Or at least that is what I understand when I read his details.

    You misunderstood it.
It says as "get increased attack rating until next hit".so he gains increased dmg until he lands a hit or into block

Well, if this is working as intended and its not a bug, then description must be fixed. Considering many will want to rank him up soon, making things clear is rly important.

I had this same experience kp melted in 17 seconds sig 200 r5. I think it's a bug cause I didn't have this issue before the update.

Its on the description that he gains a fury buff. It doesn't say "next hit gets increased attack rating" or something similar that would imply he isn't getting any fury buffs.

The "next hit" it there to replace the usual duration of these effects, since it doesn't have a fixed value duration (ex: 10 seconds). The wording could change a bit to clarify that it only lasts until Zemo next hit, but ultimately it wouldn't make a difference

This has always been the case. Zemo is a counter to KP on haz shift.

    Nope.

Kingpin is not a good champion to use against Zemo, because he purifies debuffs.

Zemo punishes champions who purify debuffs.

What almost certainly happened to you is that Kingpin went into Overpower by Purifying eight Rage debuffs.

This will have given Zemo eight (very powerful) Fury buffs; each of them massively increasing the damage from any Hazard Shift debuffs; because Hazard Shift relates to your Modified Attack.

    That's why you melted.

yeah , i got melted by it once too . After kp purify a debuff , zemo will gain a fury buff for himself . 8 rages convert to overpower will also count as 8 purifications , so zemo will get 8 furies too . These furies can make his bleed/shock damage 5x , 10x times stronger . Well , u can get it removed by blocking 1 hit from him though , but that is gonna hurt too .

The furies fall off after one hit, that’s what the description means

To make him work you need wear his tshirt and put him in the team for Necropolis. He will start working automatically.

At the end of the day, it is a fury buff. It is one way zemo can cheese NF is by beating NFs forst life while he is rooted, NF purifies a bunch of debuffs and the root, so he gets 5 bleeds on him with the increased potency of the furies. This is how Zemo has always worked.

    The description is 100% fine.

You purify debuffs against Zemo, he gains furies >
His attack is therefore increased, and the hazard shift debuffs are based on the defender's modified attack, cause you to die in 2 seconds.

The furies are consumed on his next hit, but until that happens his attack is increased - that's just how Furies work.

Everything is working as intended and is described properly.
