No, you get additional ropes at the beginning of each week.

You can save them , tie them to each other and go very very deep into the catacombs to get the same rewards as everyone else.

From what I can tell, you want to save 1 for each week to get the chest, but other then that, the path rewards and completion rewards should all be the same, (randomized, but same stuff possible on each path each week) so just use them on whichever week is easiest for you.
