It's only better on ramping phase.
After ramping, aegon is a nukefest with recoils.

If you have shuri+ kate+ wong in your team, aegon is not primary champ of the run and that demand a non recoil setup.

Recoils don't prevent you from doing that.

If I'm slapping a 20% revive on Aegon that means i get at max 4 sp2's if i never parry, block, or get hit. Not a lot of mileage out of my revives there

@SirGamesBond my shuri is 7r2 but I have no Wong. I was going to bring unduped 7 chavez (i can rank 2 her) for the Kate synergy. For the other 2 slots I was thinking heimdall and maybe Fury. Is this alright?

Also for a team centered on Kate/Shuri , i feel like Yes it may save you more revives

BUT and heres a big but, i feel that Aegon would save more potions . Unless you’re really skilled and capable of one shotting with Shuri/Kate (and have good AI so the specials aren’t thrown until after your dialed in passives expires).

For an average player, if you die with Kate/Shuri, i figure youd want to heal up as much as possible so that you don’t die prematurely while ramping up (from like block damage from specials/rooted specials etc). If that makes sense

You don't need to parry with Ægon and if you have hundreds of free crystals, then you can afford to heal him up to a decent health each time.

Yeah you've got the right idea in theory. The thing with Kate is that you get into a rhythm of specials and reposte. I found that I generally wasn't blocking a lot of hits with her. Eventually stopped healing to full and just went in with 40%-60%.

With Shuri, she's so tanky that you can take some blocked hits and use her phase mechanic to get openings. Once she's ramped you can really just avoid getting hit and just keep your shocks going.

So in practice, I wasn't using a lot of potions on either Kate no Shuri who were my main clearers for all 6 paths.

This is completely wrong. You defo want to have aegon with suicides and no willpower in the necropolis, after you have ramped him up. (For the first fight leave them off and spam sp1 to build combo quicker).

That involves spending units to redo masteries every run (again I'm cheap and kabam is not getting a single unit out of me for this)

Its not that much. To put on a full suicide build on is only 100 units or so and will defo save you revives in the long run.

You either dump resources Or you do intricate planning with your skills.

I have dropped the whole soloing thing without a shuri. If I had her I would R5 my kate and ascend.
Shuri is glue to the kate/wong team.
None of them can take all fights.
While aegon with recoils is unstoppable monster who will take more revives but do everything much faster.

I opened 1k 4 hour crystals, I have resource to blitz though it. 3-4 hours per path, that's impressive.

I am paying extra revives on aegon and it's much much much faster than all solos out there.
Recoils with 30% boosts blitz 5-6 fights in that 1 hour.

Did 4-5 gem path with r4 aegon. Now he's R5. Did not ascend cuz ascention are needed in BGs. This is one time quest for aegon, he gonna stay in arena after this.

Now The question is, what resource are you willing to invest for your run...
Just Prepare revives and do it.

I farmed 30 revives during the forum opinion battle. So here's a 69 joke on perspective and opinions.
