Ambrose Bierce’s MCOC Definitions

Defender definitions:
Intimidate debuff - Makes the defender aggressive with increased chance of light intercepts and special intercepts.
Taunt debuff - Makes the defender even more passive and will throw heavies instead of specials
Power Gain buff - I hope you bought Heimdall so you can survive at least one SP3 that is coming shortly.
Recovery time - A placebo term used in the community but doesn’t actually exist for the defender.
Attacker definitions:
Bait special - spend rest of the fight getting cornered and ensuring the defender gets to SP3.
Parry - Something the defender has mastered and you never will.
Any beneficial short term buff - Defender holds block, reads the newspaper, and waits for it to expire.
General definitions:
AI passivity - Default AI behavior unless your attacker benefits from hitting the block.
AI aggression - When the defender throws their newly obtained SP3 so fast you don’t even see their power bar turn red.
