As a new TB player, I really wanted to spend $ on this event to hopefully get my first r5 or second r4… I keep looking at the rewards and I just can’t justify the jump in cost from last year…as well as the jump in cost when you compare alliance milestone costs vs solo. That being said, I along with most members of my alliance will be looking at minimum participation this year. ( last year we were rank 200 over all)
I think the minimum to get all alliance milestones is 8 GCB crystals each alliance member contribution.
Purchased 8 x 2800 = 22,400 Free 19 x 700 = 13,300
22,400 + 13,300 = 35,700 points
35,700 x 30 = 1,071,000
8 x 300 = 2400 units
2400 -600 -275 -275 = 1,250 is the net cost per member / account to get all alliance milestones if everyone in your alliance does the minimum.
1,250 net unit cost is about 1/10 the price of the solo milestones, and the realistic rank rewards can be gotten in glory and loyalty stores …
Merry Christmas 🎁
You’re missing some free crystals. Should be 23

Rank rewards of course could be far better. Players will not spent cash for it, definitely, but can spent gaming units. For units it's ok. And are there any option for gifting energey, heals, etc.? Or this year it's totally closed?
If some changes their alliance before 20th December, will they be able to contribute to alliance banquets milestones like after a cooldown time or something?? Or can't they not at all contribute??
2 days until the event starts. If Kabam were going to change anything, they would’ve already told us.
They will not change anything, already told that before. Better to keep units for one of the Cybers days maybe. It's up on you only where to invest units now)) Banquet is not very profitable. 6* you will get a lot if you participate in banquet))
Just a question, which to me seems like a fair one
Every time there is an event like this; Gifting, Banquet, 7* Celebration, the first few days are a server lag/crash-palooza
So I’m just wondering did the game team properly accommodate this time with better server capacity, seeing as how their estimates for this sort of thing in the past have been severely lacking
This seems like a reasonable question to me seeing as how the team has decided to start Banquet and the AW season on the same day, and if there is significant server down time in the first 2 days the first War will be f**ked

Dr. Zola
Well, I know the answer would probably that;
“they have taken measures to ensure a continuous operation of the game”
When in reality the same thing happens again, lag/crash-palooza, it would just be nice to hear them try and be proactive with these thing

Reasonable question. As a veteran player do you think that this particular banquet event will cause massive server lag and game crashes?

Believe me I would like this to happen because where I am going to be during the time of the event starting it already has terrible wifi. So, this will be tough for me
For those that missed the livestream, they talked about Banquet a bit there. They basically said what lots of people have been saying, this was intended, they wanted higher level people to focus on Necropolis and have them spend their units there. So if you don't feel like it's worth your units and you'd rather spend them on exploring Necropolis, that is by design
They did what a lot of people every year ask for which is let people progress with content and skill over just straight spending money

No one was countering that point. We were saying that they omitted anything worthwhile or interesting for paragon and valiant players. We weren't wanting to have something better than Necropolis, just give something to us that we can actually use. It didn't have to be a large amount of anything

Yeah but it doesn’t justify how god awful the rewards are and how lazy it was to basically copy and Paste the rewards from last year with super minor updates. This is supposed to be a joyful event that people look to all year, but they pretty much Scrooged the whole thing up. Might as well just not had the event at all if it isn’t worth spending any units, or just give all the stuff away for free by making a side event, why are you charging units anyway then. It’s insincere at best to say hey we know you guys wait all year for this event but we don’t really care the rewards aren’t great, so don’t spend any money on the event, doesn’t sound like a great business case.

Except it isn’t straight money spend is it? It’s a particular type of spender (and unit grinder) that this hits hardest - those who spend for units for these types of events. T6CC, 4-5 gems, 1-2 gems … are all basically MIA along with 7 star shards.
And look at the top 90 ranks - you can still spend your way into whatever you want…. If you are the type of spender they approve
As a paragon player with 1 R3 7 star and currently planning a necropolis completion run, I understand why Kabam isn’t budging on the issue and I can appreciate it. It makes Necropolis more exciting and relevant for me.

This GBC is designed for thronebreaker players.
Paragon and valiant can take rest this season.
